Lets start by saying your Jets are great ...Your Web-Site is awsome..Great Job Folks...
I am using your 990 with added panel and sounds..However upon loading the jet I get the *software issue* on launch..I know that I need to add from the read-me to FS9 config the *Old Modules* stuff..I did but it still appears at launch..Perhaps I have entered the text in the wrong place..Could someone please give the the correct path for this text to FS9 Config.....My drive is C.
BTW..This is in the panel Aeromusical CV990 folder
Thanks for any help in advance....... Mason USA North carolina

OK .... what you're seeing is actually "completly harnmless".
I'm assuming the FS advisory your seeing reads something like as follows ....
FS HAS ENCOUNTERED POENTIALLY INCOMPATIBLE SOFTWARE (probably the FSSOUND.DLL) etc.
It will also offer you the option you of loading this modeule anyway or not loaading it.
Just select "YES" (to load it) and all should continue perfectly normally and without any problems whatsoever.
You must install the provided FSSOUND.DLL inside the FS9 "MODULES" folder.
You must then locate the FS9.CFG file and edit it precisely as follows ....
[OLDMODULES] FSSound.dll=1
I stongly urge you to "COPY & PASTE" the above entry to your CFG file.
The slightest error/"typo" in transferring this edit to the CFG manually will result in it not becomming effective .... and the error/cautionary message you're seeing as FS boots up then not being automatically cancelled.
Locate and delete your previously attempted edit .... and "TRY AGAIN" as requested above.
If this's done correctly then there's "NO WAY" the error/caution message will continue.
I believe the harmless message you're witnessing is because an error/"typo" has be made editing the CFG file in the first instance.
I just want to quickly add here that the "AEROMUSICA" CV990 file is a soundpack containing a "SOUND" folder .... which replaces the default "sound" folder provided inside the CV990 Aircraft Base Pack. This soundpack/folder (like all our supplied ASEROMUSICA soundpacks) has nothing whatsoever to do with the panel and cannot be causative of the error you're witnessing .... at least not in my many years of experience.

Thanks..You are right..I just checked and it is the sound file causing the message..My mistake....
I will attempt this again, but I did copy/paste both times before..And placed the (added) at the bottom of the FS9 config ..But I'm not sure that I placed it in the right place..I got to the Config like this... C Drive to Program Files..To Miscrosoft Games To FS9 to Config Folder..Inside the folder was a *Cascading style Sheet document * where I placed the text....
Hmmm..but now I see another Config(java script File)..Perhaps that is where it goes...I'll give that a try...
Thanks for your advice aerofoto.......Mason

Well that was not the correct spot for it eighter....shrugs.......Perhaps I'm looking for the Config in the wrong place...
I double checked for both items..The FSSound is located in the modules folder correctly and the Config text Add On is now in both Java and Casdading Sheet Config files.....

Well I guess my age is causing the stupids again...lol I just got it correct finally..
I just remembered the Config was under App Data Owner FS9... So i added the script there and deleted it in the other two places and ..Hello...No messages at start up.....
Thanks for bearing with me while I tuned up my head...Thanks lots for your advise and help......Mason

Got it sorted now ? I'm glad ! FYI .... some time within the next several weeks we'll be releasing an upgraded version of our current CONVAIR panel and aircraft base packs forboth CV880 and CV990 There will be 3 seperate panels for these aircraft ..... as follows .... CV880-22 CV880-22M CV990-A The updated aircraft base packs will feature modified FDE .... which is undergoing testing at the moment. These panels (like our updated DC8 panels, and all our B707 TYPE panels) will not require the old FSSOUND.DLL .... which will then become completly redundant from HJG products. Our new CONVAIR panels will also feature cockpit/ground comunications and air cart/ground generator sounds similar to, but different from, those of our current Boeing and Douglas panels .... among a few other changes/improvements too.
