Some folk recently reported their DC8-70 panel EGT values remained "pegged" after engine startup procedures.
George CARTY has identified and fixed this problem for us.
A new DC8 CORE FILES package has just been uploaded to our DOUGLAS PANELS downloads page. This new file is named as follows ....
DC-8_Panel_Core_Files_v1.1
This package contains a fixed "DC8SW.GAU" file dated as follows ....
"APRIL 6TH 2008"
"IF" you have our new DC8 panels (December 2007 uploaded versions) successfully installed then all you need do is delete your original DC8SW.GAU file (dated January 23rd 2008) .... download this latest DC8 CORE FILES package .... then select and install this newest "DC8SW.GAU" only. In this case you do not need to replace any of the DC8 panel/s, panel sounds, or the DC8 KLN90B.GAU
"IF" you still have not yet updated your DC8 panels with our new December 2007 versions then now is a good time to do so. In this case a full/standard installation of our new DC8 panels and this latest core files is required .... DO NOT install these new DC8 CORE FILES with panel versions earlier than December 2007 .... they simply WILL NOT work and result in large quantities of missing gauges from each panel !
The following suggestion is not essential .... but .... is recommended ....
After installing the new DC8SW.GAU then uninstall/reinstall FSUIPC to ensure FS recognizes the newer gauge date .... FS does strange things sometimes and this may help avoid potential issues where no issues should exist at all. In doing this be sure to start/shutdown FS between both uninstalling/reinstalling FSUIPC so FS will recognize changes have occurred. Users of unlicensed FSUIPC versions should select "MINIMUM" or "NORMAL WEATHER" defaults. Having FSUIPC installed with just basic/default settings selected has been known to benefit our DC8 and other panels.
An FSUIPC version later than V3.50 "IS" required for our DC8 panels Weather Radar set to function.
