HOLA Bill ! Out of curiosity .... I just now had a quick look around that panel .... and I can't find any tab (overhead or elsewhere) labelled "INVERTERTS" either There is a "BATTERY" switch .... commanded into view per the "lightning bolt" panel sub panel views icon (bottom row .... extreme right) .... but .... unless I've missed it .... an "INVERTERS" switch doesn't appear to be represented I can't remember if Richard makes reference to "INVERTERS" among his manual documents supplied with the panel, but, it could be one of those systems we must all take for grantid as "running" .... even though there may be no tab, sub panel, or switch for it. Saludas especiales ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Hi Mark, Im trying to put the APU gauge that was posted at avsim about a week ago, the problem is since the APU gauge is somewhat synced with the battery, once I turn off the apu, if there is not inverters or gen switches to transfer electrical power from battery to engines, then all my electicals turn off once I turn the APU off. Most panels have a interter or gen switches, but can find on the 727 panel.

Looks like there's nothing there at all then .... as I speculated above. We've got no control over that though as what we've got is precisely as inherited by us. I don't know if "INVERTERS" are among those details George is trying to build into the new B727 panels .... for future release.

Mark,
The B727 does not have an alternator/invertor switch as such. It has a generator drive switch that is located on the upper left hand corner of the FE panel. Below that is the switches that engage/sync the electrical system ( gen/bus).
It's been a while but if you need more infor let me know.

Darn, another complication for the new panel set! I'm currently working on the Super 27 FDE, and also on how to code its engine gauges to look like two different engine types are fitted.
(Another thing - were you aware than the Super 27 lacks a thrust reverser on engine #2, because when P & W developed the JT8D-200 series, they replaced the pneumatic thrust reversers with hydraulic ones?)

I think Bill's referring to the actual realworld aircraft rather the RP panel for FS I wasn't actually aware of that .... but .... it wouldn't surprise me. Those outboard # 1 and # 3 engines on "SUPER 27" aircraft are more powerful than the center # 2 engine. I assume that reverse potential available from those outboards alone is probably more than sufficient to assist desceleration down to 80-60KTS .... I s'pose ! Mark C AKL/NZ
