I love the 727 series and have always flown it. I have only one problem with the plane. I pull up to the gate, press Ctrl+J and...nothing happens. How do I get jetways to connect to the aircraft? Thanks much.

I don't know .... to be honest We've never had this enquiry previously .... to my knowledge .... but .... aren't connecting Jetways a function of some sceneries rather than actual models ? Mark C AKL/NZ

You may think so Mark, but I have used FSX default aircraft with a known moving jetway and then used a different model eg. 707 and they don't work. There may be something within GMAX models which allows jetways to move. Just my crazy idea thrown in.

if i can throw a bit of help in here...
look for the [exits] section on your aircraft.cfg file - play around with these and/or search through common sites to look for correct entries for the 727
i use fs9, so sadly i don't have this nice feature on my sim, hence i can't give exact data values for you to add.

The exit co-ordinates haven't been inserted in the current version of the aircraft.cfg files ... this is certainly and issue to come, but as the panel still isn't FSX'ed I haven't bothered to get them ... but the will come I promise you that

Thanks much. Hey Newdude, just insert these lines in your "aircraft.cfg"overwriting what already exists and you should have your jetways working now. "[exits] number_of_exits = 3 exit.0 = 0.4, 54.50, -6.0, 5.5, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) exit.1 = 0.4, 54.50, -6.0, 5.5, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) exit.2 = 0.4, -42.30, 9.0, -7, 2 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) " Cheers

That should do it. Maybe somewhat ironic, but I was delighted some months ago, being a FSX newbie, to find the HJG C990 in FSX had the jetways move perfectly in to the doorway, seeing that this was I believe an earlier Erik Cantu model. HJG QC is nevertheless first class and an endless source of pleasure.
Thanks and regard,
