Hello guys, Love the RC135 i must say, very well done there now this model in FSX doesnt go well due to one thing and thats a small texture issue which messes the whole model up just from on small things which is a shame because its a great model. Im running FSX SP2 and was wondering if there is any known fix? Images: Thanks in advance

Not that I'm aware of .... and so far as I know this's the first such report we've received regarding this aircraft/texture. Some of those C135 TYPE textures were done a very long time ago. I don't imagine they'll be upgraded soon .... unless the original author/s wish to revist them This applies in the case of your other forum request too ! Mark C AKL/NZ

I believe the Alpha Channel detail to which you refer is something that affected a couple of our RAF AWACS aircraft only .... the natural metal surfaces of these aircraft displayed as super polished chrome in FSX only. If you search throughout the FSX forum page you'll find past reference to this .... which so far as I'm aware still hasn't yet been resolved.
Again I'm not aware of any previously reported issues with the particular "grey painted" aircraft texture you're reporting regarding. Even given that it's represents one of our older texture sets .... it's not really all that old. One thing you could try is just rechecking (and maybe experimenting with) the settings of your graphics card/device to see if that makes any difference at all .... it may well do !

Been long time away from FSX, but I can tell you that in FSX everything has to be textured, or be transparent (or something the like) not like in FS9 in with in-tranparent ....
I can't say that this is the issue here, but I can look into it, once I get back to my FSX machine. Can't give you a deadline though, as I'm pretty much hung up with real life works....

Thanks for the quick replies there guys,
I can alter my graphics card to a certain extent, but this will have to be my very last option if all else fails, but will try that at some point.
Thanks for this Dan i really appreciate this even if the outcome is bad.
Again thanks for the help guys i will use the advice and try to get this working.

Altering your graphics card won't do a thing, it's texture/FSX releated nothing moe and nothing less. So don't bother, unless you know how to edit bmps in textures.
