hey everyone, i have been trying to install the e3 for a few days now. i have followed the directions and i still cannot get this model to work. FSX will not display it on the list of aircraft. is there anything that im doing wrong. here is what i have,
// Add your [fltsim.xx] sections here. // Remember to start with 0 (zero). // Copyright Historic Jetliners Group. No uploading of HJG materials to any website without prior approval.
[fltsim.0] // Change "xx" to next number in sequence starting from 0 title=Boeing/USAF E-3c-Sentry sim=e-3c model=E3C panel= sound= texture=usaf_2006_e3c_80-0137 kb_checklists= visual damage=1 description=Boeing/USAF E3C Sentry 80-0137 ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=E-3C Sentry ui_variation=USAF 80-0137 atc_id= atc_heavy=1 atc_airline=Air Force atc_flight_number=0137 atc_parking_codes= atc_parking_types=CARGO,RAMP
i renamed the panel cfg file to say,
[fltsim] alias=panel.b707-320badvc.1970
im just using this one model so im not using a fsfsconv folder in the main airplane folder
i renamed the files within the panel.b707-320badvc.1970 to say panel.cfg to panel_fs2004.cfg - panel_fsx to panel.cfg.
i have copied all core files, gauges, effects, sound with no luck. is there something that im doing wrong. i have been able to install this model before, but for some reason i have not had any luck doing it a second time. i had to reboot the computer so i lost all of the original files. that is why im going through this again.

have you got the right base pack installed for this texture, as I have done this in the past, and also have you done this??
BASE PACKS ===================================================================== (1) Unzip all base pack files to the aircraft folder of Flight Simulator. (2) If you are running FSX, delete the file "aircraft.cfg" and rename the file "aircraft_fsx.cfg" to "aircraft.cfg". This must be done before any textures are installed.
this is just a way of helping and eliminating your problem

If you reinstalled as per instructions it works. If it doesn't you did not install as per instructions
