When I install the HJG 727 panel my aircraft disappears from FSX and when I pull the panel out the plane it will show up again. I have read and gone over installation of the panel to see if I made any mistakes, but I haven't made one, trust me.
I have rename the panel.cfg files within the panel folder and created the fsfsconv file within simobjects and have moved complete panel file within and open my panel file within the aircraft folder and name [alis=fsfsconv\panel.b727-100_late] and check my panel within fsfsconv to be sure it was named the same and it was.

You need to download and install the Core Files zip (which contains the gauges and sounds), as well as the panel file download.
Oh, and shouldn't the redirect panel.cfg be of the form:
[fltsim] alias=fsfsconv\panel.b727-100_late

Possible problem(s): 1. The FSFSCONV folder does not go into the simobjects folder. It should reside in your FSX root directory. Example: C\programfiles\microsoft games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X2. You typed [alis=fsfsconv\panel.b727-100_late]. It should be alias = fsfs......... Hope this helps a bit. WV

Ok, I found the problem and it's as follows:
1. I didn't download the core files, which I did and installed the gauges in the gauge file and the sound files in the sound file. It still didn't show up and I started to think and look at everything again.
2. The main problem was there are two panel.cfg files and one is for FSX and I was suppose to change this "panel.FSX" to read panel.cfg and change the other panel.cf to read panel.fs2004. Thats where she wouldn't work, so I went back and stay with the original panel.cfg and she work.
So now the question: Is the instructions wrong about the two panel.cfg files or are the two cfg files in the download mark wrong.

NO ! As you have correctly observed .... there are indeed 2 PANEL.CFG files provided. One is for FS2004 .... and the other is for FSX. By default all of these panels download with CFG files set up ready for use with FS2004. FSX users should deleted the default (FS2004) CFG version .... then rename the PANEL_FSX.CFG version to read .... PANEL.CFG.... as advised per instructions accompaying the downloaded panel files .... and as further clearly explained within each of the following 2 forum postings .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=2795tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hjgaircraftlistings&action=display&thread=2382It is recomended that folk study .... "THOROUGHLY" .... the notes provided within each of the above postings and as they relate to this particular subject and the B727. Mark C BOG/CO

Mark,
That's what I did, what I'm telling you is the FS 2004 panel work and the FSX panel did not. Don't ask me why, but it did

WELL .... the only thing that troubles me there my friend is that you .... out of literally 100's of downloaders .... are the only individual whom appears to have run into the particular snag you've reported .... and regardless however you've managed to resolve it So far as I'm aware .... the CFG's are all fine. Anything less that that and I'd expect to see a forum full of complaints. Not to worry though .... at least you "appear" to have things sorted now. Mark C BOG/CO
