Howdy guys! I remember there used to be an aircraft_fsx.cfg that came in the KC-135 downloads. I recently re downloaded your 135R model and cant find it. Any help to point me in the right direction would be appriciated! Thanks,

Found this on a recent post, this may explain why you have no FSX cfg file, just install as normal, Re: RC-135 Config File Where? « Reply #2 on 14 Jun, 2009, 3:45am »

What Bob has quoted above is "QUITE CORRECT".
Again .... KC135-R aircraft (and any CFM powered B707/C135 ort DC8-70 aircraft type) "DO NOT" require FSX specific AIRCRAFT.CFG files. The FSX specific CFG files for these classes of aircraft (those equipped with them) essentially govern the display of smoke effects only .... and which isn't necessary for these aircraft and for the above stated/quoted reasons.
There are however a couple of other very minor FSX related edits recommended on my B707 PANELS INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES posting which appears on the ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT page. which can be appliede to the standard AIRCRAFT.CFG files for these aircraft .... if you wish !

Cool, thanks. Also, I assume that the boom/probe effect doesn't work in FSX? I assigned the concorde visor command and they didn't budge.

They should all work .... meaning .... I haven't yet heard decisively (that I immediately recall at least) anything to the effect that it doesn't work in FSX.
These animations do most certainly work in FS2004 .... as I'm sure you're aware, but, since I don't fly the military stuff much I can't recall the necessary keyboard commands for these various animations.

You may tru one of the other "usuals" such as Wing-fold ... But I'm at the same level as Mark when it comes to Military :-)

Yes, however, in FSX the wingfold command is not deploying the probes.

Then I would have to "ASSUME" .... that "MAYBE" .... that particular animation "MIGHT NOT" be compatible with FSX in respect of these models .... bearing in mind what my colleague (Dan) mentioned yesterday (in the thread below this one) in respect of the FDE and panels for these aircraft being being perfectly FSX compatible whilst the models are essentially FS9 intended.

Hm, something doesn't sound right here... please state your files: base pack, and livery, I'll try to set it up my self... wing-fold is wing-fold no matter which sim you use.... but you may have aliased the texture to the wrong model? Don't kill me, but I think that the tanker should be the "mprs" model. So you may have discovered a faulty texture file, or simply a model that do not have propes .... I'm not that much into military types, but I can read and edit an aircraft config file ;D:-)

Aircraft folder name.... : HJG Boeing KC-135R v5 Both MPRS and ARR models are in the folder, the model assigned to the texture is the mprs model... Livery folder name.... : texture.kc-135r_usaf_2007_57-2593 Thats the last one (second to last?) livery on the KC-135 d/l page.
