Of course we've got our own BAe 146/ARJ soundpack here which is a reasonably accurate "generic" depiction (made by myself and Benoit .... and based on my own experience jumpseating aboard the type whilst we had them operating down here in New Zealand) .... and which is "FREE" too, but, I'm sure you can't go wrong in respect of any $7 investment anyway. TELL ME .... does your new soundack feature that classic BAe 146/ARJ flap sound .... "a unique and very long droning sound when transitionming from "ZERO" to "MAX" flap setting for landing" .... as is faithfully reproduced within the BAe 146/ARJ soundpack which we offer here ? Just curious ! Mark C AKL/NZ

i managed to fly on a northwest rj-85 a few years ago, the flaps sound was amazing but alas, they are missing the flap sounds in this, and its depressing. i even looked in the sound cfg and the flaps section is just blank for the filename and then the volume for it all was at 0, now we play the waiting game for the iris website to come on again and post a forum thread about the lack of flap sounds!

that sounds bad..they rave about actual recordings etc yet they miss out on the most obvious sound related to this aircraft!!!

That's sad .... HMMM .... might have been $7 best retained in your own pocket then Why don't you try the soundpack we offer here then ! It does feature that "classic BAe/ARJ" flap extension sound .... and a whole lot more ! You'll find it on the BAE AIRCRAFT SOUNDS page of our Downloads section .... and considering it's "FREE" .... things don't come cheaper than that ;D Mark C AKL/NZ

WELL MY FRIEND .... ya not the first to make that mistake .... and .... undoubtably .... ya won't the last either ! I forgot to mention above .... but .... have commented previously regarding this .... In respect of FS soundpacks .... and in particular those used with HJG aircraft but obtained from elsewhere other than this website. Folk should always be aware that "other" audio compilations are not necessarily 100% compatible with HJG aircraft and therefore may not always work well. FDE generally always has the final say in respect of overall audio playback quality within FS. "ALL" of the AEROMUSICA (that's Benoit PLAMONDON and myself) soundpacks available here are indeed compiled for HJG aircraft .... and in particular .... compiled specifically according to the dictates of HJG FDE etc. We respect that it's your choice as to what audio you use with your FS aircraft .... of course .... BUT .... what I've tried to commuunicate here is something some folk don't really understand, but, should be encouraged to bear in mind ! Additionally .... we/AEROMUSICA place enormous emphasis on compiling all our soundpacks to best represent what may be heard from a "flightdeck perspective" aboard any particular aircraft type we care to represent .... and which is quite a different sound environment from that which is more generally appreciated solely from the PAX cabin environment aboard any particular aircraft type. Most AEROMUSICA soundpacks are also compiled from "actual recordings" .... whenever we can source such material to work with.Mark C AKL/NZ
