Well.....after a few practice runs and much perspiration I finally passed the dreaded check ride for the RW 13 at VHHX. I am sure that there are other airports around the world that have challenging approaches and departures. Please feel free to let me know what they are so that I can give them a try. Now it's time to take a shower and relax with a few pints. Herman

Thank you Mark for your input.
Yes, judging by your wonderfull screen shots, Medellin, Columbia SA, does look to be an interesting place for approaches and departures with very little room for errors.
I always thought that the pilots of the South American Airlines must be pretty proficiant, ( we don't seem to hear of accidents ) and as you mentioned a lot of the western SA cities and airports are surrounded by mountains.
Flying the Russian TU 144 turned out to be a lot easier than I first thought...ones you got used to the metric gauges and of course the English manual and documentation helped a lot. I found the flight dynamics and flight tuning to be excellent.

Hello louross; Here is the link for the TU114 along with a few other Russian planes. Just click on the planes name below the pictures and follow the instructions which are all in English. The sound sets are excellent. Let me know how you make out. samdimdesign.free.fr/Cheers; Herman

The soundpack which accompanies the TU-114 package is OK .... if not accurate, but, it is, in my own oppinion, in need of an upgrade/enhancing .... just to give it a bit more "GUTS" This's something I've been meaning to fiddle with .... but .... just haven't yet had time to do yet .... AND .... if I d fiddle with it later .... then I could only then ever release it, publicly, with approval from SAMDIM DESIGNS .... of course ! Mark C AKL/NZ
