In fact strange things are going on : in external view (spot view) and operating the assigned joystick button speed-brakes are deployed, when reactivating the button for closing, they seems to have tendency to deploy further. In short only clicking the mouse on the lever works sorry for the bad English it is not my native language urvy

What happens if you use "standard keyboard" commands in order to deploy the speedbrakes .... rather than using assigned joystick commands ?

Unfortunately .... this's the only HJG offered aircraft thay I'm not all completely familiar with. Those rear fuselage speed brakes may open in inrements, but, I can't honestrly recall. I don't seem to recall any issues with the speed brakes on any of these aircraft although some of my following preview images lend credence to the fact that these "MAY" open/be deployed incrementally .... and for reason I'm still not, yet, fully conversent with .... Need someone more up-to-speed with these aircraft/panels, than me, to comment definitively ! Mark C AKL/NZ

I actually pulled the BAe out of the hanger last week... had a lot of dust on it I was able to deploy the brakes two ways: by pulling the lever on the pedestal with he mouse, which will open it in increments, or by simply hitting the "/" key, which is the FS default for speed brake deploy/retract. My normal procedure is to hit the "/" just before or right after touchdown as that puts the brakes fully out. One wrinkle that does show up is the hitting the key again does NOT fully close the brakes. To do that I have to push the lever on the pedestal up the last little bit with the mouse. The only reason I can think for the "/" key not to work, is the FS default key assignments have been changed, so that should be checked. The other idea I have is that, since this is probably the most sophisticated panel HJG sponsors, the panel file may be corrupted somewhere. So, as a last resort, download and do a fresh install of the panel. Mike

I usually use the lever on the panel (using the mouse), but also have a switch, or button, on the CH Eclips yoke which works. lr.

If you're using Mathias's panel, open the pedestal, use your mouse to drag down the airbrake handle. Once it is down, drag / click it down one extra notch and this will result in two things:
1. Opening of airbrakes 2. Arming of spoilers
After landing, click on the airbrake lever to "unlock" it, then drag it to the close position with your mouse. This will close the airbrakes and lower / close the spoilers.
