I trust that is specific enough? One thing I was wondering is if perhaps changing the ui_manufacturer name from Boeing to HJG might help.
Edit: no, that didn't help.
The other thing that had me puzzled was this line from the EULA included with each aircraft:
No use may be made of these files without the express written permission of the Historic Jetliners Group. Contact information is available on the HJG homepage. (http://www.simviation.com/hjg/)

Oh man, all these great minds and still no solution? I can tell you exactly what the problem is. The numbers on [fltsim.xx] aren't supposed to have the prefix 0 in front of them.
Example use [fltsim.0] instead of [fltsim.00], [fltsim.1] instead of [fltsim.01], etc.
For some reason FS9 is super picky about these things. Oh and about the line in the EULA, this refers to any modifications made to the files ie. modifying the flight dynamics in the air file, repaints, etc. We're prettly laid back here and most of the time we're gonna say "go ahead" but ripping us off just isn't cool.
Hope this helps, Jay

::)of course when you have as many textures on the same aircraft like I do it can get into double figures IE from [fltsim.9] it then goes on to [fltsim.10] then you have to use double digits ;D ;D Captain Bob to aerofoto you could say that should be the end of this catastrophe ;D

Strangely enough, that did it. My copy of FS9 has never been that picky before. Thanks for the help guys.
BTW, in the RC-135-CFM56 Download section, you guys have the RC-135U amd RC-135W mixed up. You got it right in the RC-135-JT3D section, though.

"YAREK" .... frustration understood .... but .... in future let's kindly avoid that kind of statement on this forum .... please ! It's not necessary .... OK ! To try try'n resolve your problem now Firstly .... there's nothing at all wrong with the "THAI DC8-63 HS-TGY 1979" texture set. I'm currently using that same file myself .... without any problems whatsoever. Your experience is likely to be the result of a simple CFG error. 1. Make sure you have successfully installed the HJG "DC8-63" AIRCRAFT BASE PACK, and that you are indeed using this "THAI DC8-63 HS-TGY 1979" with this particular BASE PACK Do not assign this texture set with the "DC8-63F" AIRCRAFT BASE BACK .... or the aircraft will not display within the FS Aircraft Selection Menu. PLEASE NOTE: The DC8-63, and DC8-63F/CF models and supporting FDE data "ARE DIFFERENT"2. The following extract shows precisely how your AIRCRAFT.CFG file should look with the "THAI DC8-63 HS-TGY 1979" texture set correctly assigned to it .... I have hilighted in "BOLD TEXT" the data you need to crosscheck in order to be assured this aircraft will display correctly within FS [fltsim.0]title=HJG Douglas DC-8-63 Thai Airways 1979 sim=DC-8-63_2k4model= panel= sound= texture=thai_airways_1979_63_hs-tgykb_checklists= kb_reference= visual_damage=1 description=HJG Douglas DC-8-63 ui_manufacturer=Douglasui_type=DC-8-63ui_variation=Thai Airways (1979)atc_id=HS-TGY atc_airline=THAI atc_flight_number=863 atc_heavy=0 atc_parking_codes=THA atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMP In the above extract I assume this "THAI DC8-63 HS-TGY 1979" is the first DC8-63 you have installed .... hense the following FLTSIM= data entry [fltsim.0]If you happen to be assigning multiple DC8-63 textures to the same AIRCRAFT.CFG file then these FLTSIM= data entries must appear in numerical sequence as follows [fltsim.0][fltsim.1][fltsim.2]etc .... etc .... etc ! 3. Make sure that you haven't inadvertantly still got a required folder still enclosed within another containing froolder from the original ZIP file .... this also will prevent an aircraft/texture from being recognized by FS. I hope this helps you identify and resolve your particular problem Mark C AKL/NZ

I'm sorry It was last time. I promise. Anyway, I'm confiused, I know how to install new planes or add new textures/panels/sounds etc. I checked many times Aircraft.CFG and everything is like You have written. I'm sure, I downloaded correct model (I did it many times to be sure). Already I have a DC-8-62 and it is OK! I know, there (propably) is small error or (maybe?) is something wrong with my computer/FS? Well, I have all night to check it, but You guys can forget about new screenshots... LET'S GO FIGHT! And tip: atc_parking_types=GATE,CARGO,RAMP <-it's wrong! Should be: atc_parking_types=GATE or CARGO or RAMP

What operating system do you have? If you are using the new Vista OS you could be running into some strange quirks the new system has.

Actually "YAREK", John has raised a very good point here .... and one which even I hadn't even considered.
If by any chance you're using the new VISTA OS .... it might pay to unzip all files to a temporary folder first, then manually drag and drop them to their appropriate FS folders rather than using an automatic routine .... then edit your CFG as per normal.
I've even heard rare examples of earlier OS sending files to undesirable places too.
Try a completly "MANUAL" installation.

You know, Mark has an excellent point. I would recommend to anyone that they get in the habbit of doing manual installations for any add-on, even if it's an .exe file; most .exe installers will prompt you for the directory path. Just create a new folder and unzip to that, then do a manual install. The best part about that is that if there is a certian paint or model that you don't wan't to install (for some of us that don't have a lot of space on our HD's) then you have the option of deleting the files and entry in the aircraft.cfg before you install. Plus if you want to use a different panel you don't have to go around searching for gauges to delete.

I fixed problem. I do not know what happend exactly. I did everything again, manualy, step by step. Downloaded model, texture, checked Aircraft.CFG, run FS and... nothing. Next, restart computer, run FS and... DC-8-63 THAI appears. I'm using Windows XP Media Center 2005 and IE6. Maybe problem was with IE6? Some time it can damage downloaded files Thank You guys for support.
