I downloaded ALM DC-9-15 Great model and I actually worked with the real aircraft as well as PJ-DNA and PJ-DNB I installed it but landing gear and flaps do not function speed brakes and everything else works, there is a high pitched buzz continuous in the flight deck view. did not install module DLL's as they would overwrite and could not locate FS config fiel to do the OLD module. Which file controlls landing gear and flaps thanks

Have you switched on the hydraulic pumps? Without those on the flaps and gear won't work.

Im just using G Gearup/down and F5 thru F8 for flaps which works ok usually on other aircraft from HJG
The dc 9 10 had a lot of base pack options so Im wondering if i installed correct combination. Thanks also for info

The flaps/gear will NOT operate properly on the HJG DC-9 unless the hydraulics are switched to HI. The HYD PUMP switches are on the far right side of the panel. It is the "secondary" panel on the right. You need to bring it up by clicking on the small arrow/triangle just to the right of the Radar Altimeter. As far as I know, this only applies to the DC-9 for HJG aircraft.
Once you learn the systems, this is an amazing panel...very realistic!

The toggle switch for HYD PUMPS must be in the "HI"/fully up position.

YES .... both center "HYDRAULICS PUMPS" switches, located on the secondary engine instruments panel, are the culprit here. These must both be selected "ON" .... to their "FULLY UP" positions .... or the landing gear and flaps "simply will not work" .... as discussed per my reply to your first posting (which I saw before your 2nd one) on the end of the following thread .... tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=3733PLEASE NOTE .... this´s not essential, but, it might as well be explained/gotten right in the future .... When posting technical queries, this should only be done "ONCE" only .... and then be posted on the appropriate/correct aircraft manufacturer name "SUPPORT" page on the HJG forum. I only found this, your 2nd posting, on the "SCREENSHOTS" subject, after replying to your first, on the "NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS" forum page. This´s why I´ve moved your posting to here, the "DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page, where it should have been posted from the start .... bearing in mind your first reply was also tailed to a forum News Announcement of some months back which has no place here. Quicker responses/solutions will always be obtained if postings are directed to the correct forum pages .... thanks ! Mark C BOG/COL

One more note about YV-C-AVR The actual aircraft leased to Viasa by Avensa was subleased from Viasa to KLM/ALM around 1967 and Featured a Two sided paint job , The left hand side was in KLM operating for ALM colors the right hand side was left in Viasa Colors. I worked the ramp operations in Jamaica on this aircraft and it caused confusion with the different sides at different viewpoints, Including myself as I had not long been working there. : )

The only problem with that is .... the particular photo of YV-C-AVR which we sourced (below) definitely shows this aircraft supporting "VIASA livery on its port side". www.abpic.co.uk/popup.php?q=1039986The dual KLM/VIASA livery, to which you refer (also applied to a CV880 around the late 1960´s too) might have occured earlier, or later than the version we represent here .... I´ve not checked what our actual reference date for the white fuselage VIASA YV-C-AVR actually is (that was around 2 website updates ago), but, it should read around 1971. Sometimes the quoted dates relating to the livery versions we represent here might/can be slightly out (not by much though) .... but .... our information is generally "SPOT ON" .... simply because all of the repaints which we undertake, and supply here, are based on strict photographic evidence. The information you are referring to relates to PM´s .... "PRIVATE MESSAGES" only .... within the HJG forum communication system. It has no reference, whatsoever, in respect of the number of actual replies that may posted on this forum in response to your own postings. Our forum system (unlike that of "some" other forums) does not automatically alert folk (by email) to replies in regard of forum posts. It is expected that forum members should/must monitor their own individual forum postings. Mark C BOG/COL

Hi thanks I have seen that image before but I have a photo that I took myself on the Ramp at MKJP we had 2 ALM Flights a day CUR-KIN-MIA-KIN-CUR 30 mins Ground time each way. on color slide back in the late 60's one of each side. I worked flight operations for ALM with a aviation handling company. Also I also worked with the 2 sided Convair 880 which flew the route prior to them leasing and YV_C_AVR and purchasing 3 dc9-15's PJ-DNA,B,C . I think they repainted Viasa colors on the port side when the lease to KLM/ALM ended , hence your photo. Just FYI in case it might come in usefull in the future. I can provide an image its maybe the only one out there . I took it with a low end 35 mm on Ektachrome but I scanned it to my pc
I am wondering if there is an Air Jamaica DC 9 same paint as DC8-61 series on HJG about 1975 texture in process in HJG, This may be the wrong place to ask this

Fantastic Model I downloaded Court line PINK Texture that worked ok but unanble to get the YELLOW Texture paint to show up. I chkd my Aircraft Config file and all text and spacing were accurate for these 2 paint READ ME installations. The Pink Paint works perfectly the yellow does not show up. Has anyone had that problem thanks.
Also s there a Rich International in the pure white and black livery I believe that was the Final Paint in real life I flew on RICH to Maui Hawaii in 1996 shortly before they shut down.

That´s the way I interpret this too.
I don´t think the VIASA/KLM leasing arrangement, with either the CV880 and DC9, lasted vert long at all .... and it was, as you say, during the late 1960´s for both aircraft.
In respect of the AVENSA/VIASA DC9-10´s .... there seems to have been a bit of back´n´forth in respect of these aircraft being leased by VIASA .... right up unto the early 1970´s. Alejandro might be able to advise us better in respect of these details.
We don´t have any AIR JAMAICA liveries for the DC9 .... or for the B727´s .... YET .... but .... I agree that it´s a superb candidate, so, feel free to post a request on our REPAINT REQUESTS forum page, but, do support it with images .... maybe from AIRLINERS.NET.
I presume you´re referring to the COURT LINE L1011´s .... right ?
If so then this query should be posted on our "LOCKHEED AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page.
Each of our aircraft types has a seperate SUPPORT forum page .... listed by aniurcraft manufacturer name .... where all troubleshoting/support related postings should be made.
ANYWAY ....
That "YELLOW" COURT LINE L1011 TRISTAR livery should be used with the "L1011 TRISTAR 1 RR RB211 22B V1 Aircraft Base Pack" .... along with the "PINK" livery too.
Make sure you´re doing that .... for starters !
Theres´no particular issues with either of these textures or base packs .... that I´m aware of.
When aircraft don´t display within FS .... 9 times out of 10 times it´s the result of minor, easy to fix, ADD TO AIRCRAFT/AIRCRAFT CFG errors on the part of the End User.
In nearly every case where this happens it´s usually because people forget to edit the FLTSIM.XX data line correctly.
In cases where more than 1 texture is being added to the same CFG chain .... the FLTSIM.XX data line for you 1st COURT LINE L1011 texture should read as follows ....
[fltsim.0]
.... with this same line for your 2nd COURT LINE L1011 texture then reading as follows ....
[fltsim.1]
"IF" you´ve failed to do that .... then that´ll explain why FS isn´t recognizing your 2nd COURT LINE L1011 texture.
Check this please .... and if necessary (if you´re sure what I´ve advised isn´t resolving your issue after having tried it) .... I then want you to post .... "HERE" (though preferebly on the LOCKHEED AIRCRAFT SUPPORT" forum page) .... the ADD TO AIRCRAFT data (only) from youe L1011 TRISTAR 1 AIRCRAFT .CFG file so I can see precisely what you´ve done and "maybe" advise accordingly.
