super gorgeous!!! I have been looking for Blue1 livery for my freeware JetCity 717 but cannot find any:( Aharon Really? I think you could look harder There are two repaints on Avsim.com (OH-BLM and OH-BLJ) painted by myself, and they appear to still be there as of this morning: blue1_b717-blm_jca_2010.zip blue1_b717-blj_jca_2010.zipI do have the whole fleet painted for this model (and they are updated/better than the Avsim versions), but after the HJG model was released I did not make them public (they are available within our VA) since the new model is just much better! If you want them, PM me an email address and I'll send you a link... Cheers, Geoff

Geoff ("GEOFFCO") has also painted the entire BLUE 1 B717 fleet (each aircraft is "different" in that it supports a "different patterned livery .... as well as 2 different STARS ALLIANCE liveried aircraft too) for HJG .... each of which are represented on our "B17-200" downloads page.
Since the JCA B717-200 and HJG B717-200 are modelled by the same author (as are our DC9´s and MD80´s too) they are both "fundamentally similar/the same".

Sometimes search function using specific keywords do not produce correct search results. I do have the whole fleet painted for this model (and they are updated/better than the Avsim versions),If you want them, PM me an email address and I'll send you a link... I would gratefully appreciate that and I am PMing you my email address. Thanks a zillion!! Does it mean the liveries will be compatible between those models in similar manner that liveries in payware CLS A340s and payware Overland A340s are compatible and exchangeable? Regards, Aharon

Not necessarily .... and I wouldn´t think so (at least not entirely) .... but .... I´ve never bought any of ther JCA models in order to confirm this.
What I was really referring to is .... both JCA and HJG B717-200 models should be "fundamentaly the same/similar" in terms of their modelling quality .... for the reason stated above.

The textures are not cross-compatible between the JCA and HJG B712 models, although from a repainter's point of view, the texture mapping has a lot of similarities.
I disagree with Mark here slightly: I would say that while the two models are from the same designer, there are some differences that make the HJG plane better than the JCA. If there were not, then what would be the point of making a new model?! The exterior model is (at least to my eyes) more detailed, and the textures for several key areas are larger and better mapped, allowing for more detailed repaints. The JCA model was made some years earlier, so perhaps the modeller's skill also was refined in that time... Also, the FDE of the HJG aircraft is significantly different in many ways.
PS. Aharon, you have mail.

When I uploaded them it actually looked like the forum was generating rescaled preview images automatically, but now I look more closely it is first loading the full image (not so great). Geoff

The only´reason I mentioned "fundametally the same/similar" is because that´s what I recall being told by the author (or someone else) after we lauched the first of the following 3 aircraft family members .... DC9, B717, and MD80/90 .... and in that specific order.
The only reason the HJG B717-200, DC9, and MD80/90 models actually happened, here at HJG, at all, is because I asked the JCA model author, when we met as LAX durig 2008/9, if he´d be willing to share those models with us/HJG.
Just how similar the two versions are, or what´s different .... "IF" anything´s different at all .... I wouldn´t have the slightest clue .... simply because I´ve never cared to compare the two versions with each other.
