Just a dumb question: How to activate the autopilot on BAe 146? I know there's a button on the Overhead panel, but that won't actually activate AP. What should I do? Thanks alot!

It's acivated from the lower left quadrant of the Center Pedestall sub panel .... with a number of its various modes then controlled from the upper section of the Main Panel and just below the windshield as ,,, I mentioned earlier ....
Start by having a look at this .... and then see/report how you're getting along .... and I'll try'n assist you .... if necessary .... but .... "as an when I can" .... since I've been horrendously busy (in regard to non-FS commitments) over the past 16 weeks.
The BAe 146 AP is quite easy .... and pleasant .... to use once one gets into the grips of knowing/understanding "how to use it". It's not difficult though.
There is also .... or should be .... a fairly comprehensive manual on the panel downloads page (or suplied with the panel itself) also .... which even I haven't read, yet, since I generally figure eveything out manually/practically just "by feel" alone.

I eventually had a bit more time to look at, and re-evaluate, the LEIBRECHT BAe 146 panel this afternoon.
Everything remains "pretty much the same" as I first mentioned to you, on another thread, recently .... no changes to any of those details .... BUT .... here's a few other reminders and pointers which should assist you somewhat ....
Remember .... "IF" using this LEIBRECHT panel .... it does take a minute or so to load once any aircraft using it has been selected from the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu. During this time the Aircraft Preview animation will "FREEZE" .... and one may think FS has "hung/stalled", but, this's not the case. Just let FS do what it neds to do .... and it will load both the aircraft and panel.
Folk should not be deterred from using this LEIBRECHT BAe 145 panel by its "apparent" complexity.
In reality .... it's not all that complex ast all .... in fact it just "looks complex" only through being quite a nicely designed and very well equipped panel.
Most pael items default to "ON" .... whilst other remaining items are not too difficult to figure our on the basis of intelligence and FS experience.
To properly understand those few remaining systems items that may have a any degree of complexity simply requires reading the manual (which even I haven't done yet .... but .... are able to fly the panel quite well regardless), but which, again, is quite easy since its divided into various sections.
Just a few details to assist your getting into this panel ....
The LEIBRECHT panel loads into FS with both the Overhead and Center Pedestal sub panels visible over the Main Panel.
SHIFT + 3 keyboard commands being the Ovehead sub panel into/and out of view.
SHIFT + 4 keyboard commands being the Center Pedestall sub panel into/and out of view.
The AP master switch is located within the bottom left quadrant of the Center Pedestall sub panel .... and is clearly labelled "AP".
The AP flight control modes are all located on the Main panel below the windshield .... in the form of target Altitude, NAV1/NAV2 Course and Heading selecters etc. When using the HDG selector .... clicking its upper half adjusts these values in increments of 1* .... whilst clicking it's lower half adjusts these values in increments of 10* .... and upon selcting any value one also then needs to activate the "HDG" tab on the AP flight control Mode Selector panel, located further along to the left of this portion of Main panel, below the windshield, for the aircraft to be able to respond accordingly. Similar applies also when selecting any target altitude .... an altitude value must first be selected .... and the "ALT ARM" tab, located beside the Altitude Selector, then activated.
The actual ROC/ROD progress toward the selected target altitude is then controlled using the "PITCH DOWN/UP" selector tab located beside, to the right of, the "AP" master switch on the Center Pedestall sub panel. Clicking the top of this tap controls pitch down .... and clicking the bottom of this tab controls pitch up .... at the rate of 1 click equals roughly 100 FPM ROC/ROD. Selecting the "ALT" tab, on the AP flight control Mode Selector panel, will immediately arrest the ROC/ROD towards any target altitude value .... levelling the aircraft off and immediately holding whatever altitude value is acquired at the moment of this mode first being activated.
There is no AT in this panel version .... so engine thrust and speed must be controlled manually. THere is, however, an IAS hold tab is located on the AP flight control Mode Selector .... labelled "IAS". "IF" using this tab .... then the AP will adjust the aircraft pitch, and continue adjusting it, in order to maintain whatever airspeed value is acquired at the moment of this mode first being activated.
There is large Speed Brake control lever .... located to the left of the Thrust levers .... on the Center Pedestall sub panel. This device controls the rear fuselage Speed Brake doors only .... but .... has no influence, whatsoever, over the wing Spoilers. Using this device .... the rear fuselage Speed Brake doors may be extended "fully open/closed" using the standard Spoiler up/down backslash keyboard command (/) .... OR .... these Speed Brake doors may, alternatively, be controlled and set in increments (*) by clicking on the actual lever/device and which then animates according to input.
Finally .... click on the "yellow lamp", located on the Main Panel, in order to cancel Master Caution warning tone anytime it is activated .... AND .... when activating the AP, after T/O, ensure that the HDG indicator/selector value agrees with the actual aircraft heading, at that time, or, the aircraft may want to bank/weeave slighty, upon the AP first being activated, in order to capture the actual selected HDG value appearing on the HSI.
This should see you right .... for starters !

Many thanks for your patience, I used Aerosoft's BAe 146 before, so I got some knowledge on how 146' AP works. I have located the AP on the pedestal, clicking "AP" still does nothing...once I take off, there's a red bar over my selected altitude (which indicates 00000 once airborne). Maybe there still are some switches/knobs that I have to...switch in order to get the AP working). Thanks again for your kind help!

Found it, I had to activate Generator 4, a really complex and realistic panel!
