I download HJG aircraft, and I follow all directions in the readme. And when I turn FSX on, I look for them in my airplanes and they won't ever show up! I am desperate, I really want to fly HJG airplanes!

You're being "VERY VAGUE" .... you know ! You say you've downloaded and attempted to install HJG aircraft, but, precisely which particular aircraft files are you talking about ? You may think you've followed the installation instructions correctly, but, there's obviously something you've missed .... OR .... misunderstood .... otherwise there wouldn'[t be any problem. All HJG supplied aircraft .... with the exception of the ARNZ BAe 146-300/RJ100 and FSFT PM@ CONCORDE .... do display fine in FSX provided they're installed correctly to start with. Dan has gone to great lengths to present a number of FSX related installation tutorials .... at the top of this forum SUPPORT page. There are at least 3 ways to install these simulations into FSX and each is clearly described .... in illustrated step-by-step fashion. Please review these posting and apply the necessary methodology to your own installation. Just quickly though .... a couple of common errors are .... 1. Make sure you've activated the FSX version AIRCRAFT.CFG file .... in cases where these specific files are provided/required .... the same also applies too in regard to FSX specific PANEL.CFG files "IF" HJG supplied panel are being used. 2. "IF" you're not using HJG supplied panels and sounds in FSX .... and are opting for default FSX panel and sound .... then check is that the default PANEL.CFG and SOUND.CFG files within the aircraft base pack are each pointed to the default FSX B737-800 aircraft for their panel and sound/audio. Either of the above 2 common errors are sufficient to result in any HJG simulation failing to be recognized/displayed by FSX. EVEN SO .... these details are all "very thoroughly" covered within each of Dan's tutorials. Please refer to these Mark C AKL/NZ

Some people really just can't comprehend or follow instructions correct, it happens to all of us bud.
I've been able to install all HJG aircraft to FSX just fine, what you can't forget is to delete the aircraft.cfg and rename the file aircraft_fsx.cfg to "aircraft.cfg" and all should be fine! Otherwise the aircraft won't show up.
Let us know if you are still having problems because as Mark said, it SHOULD work or let us know precisely what instruction seems troublesome for you.

tcx....As Mark mentioned above, most of HJG's Aircraft are compatible with FSX. Once the applicable files are downloaded and extracted the Aircraft base file, panel file and sound file each contain two cfg files.ie. Aircraft.cfg and Aircraft_FSX.cfg. The Panel file also contains Panel_FSX.cfg file.

"TCX262001" .... what aircraft are you talking about ?
Some HJG aircraft types "DO NOT" require FSX specific CFG files .... hence the absence of these.
Whenever soliciting assistance with regard to any particular issue then one "MUST ALWAYS" state which precisely simulation help is require with .... or we simply can't know let alone advise.
