Yesterday I promised previews of the George CARTY's new B707 panels for us which I've recently been BETA testing.
Here's a sneak preview .... just to show they really do exist and things definitely are happening
B707-120 PANEL
This panel is also used with B707-138 and features a "Water Injection System" for take-off use.
B707-120B PANEL
This panel is also used with B707-220, B720 & B720-B .... see notes below.
B707-320 PANEL
This panel is also used with B707-320B/C & -420 .... see notes below.
There will be 3 principle B707 type panels but with a total of some 7 variations among them.
Confused by my reference to there being some 7 variations ?
OK .... this happens because there are indeed only 3 main panels as illustrated above. However .... and this's where it gets really interesting .... there are a total of 7 variations throughout all of these because their engine instruments (whilst appearing similar) have actually all been cleverly callibrated to indicate according to known performance peramerters applicable throughout the range of turbojet and fanjet powerplants for B707 & B720.
Additionally, FDE data for our entire "classic" B707/720 flightline have been revised to promote equally authentic aircraft performances.
You'll probably need to learn to fly these birds all over again.
Definitely you're going to both "see and feel" the difference .... "TRUST ME FOLKS" ;D
All panels feature
- Dual Captain & Co-Pilot panels .... with variations in both instrument standard and layout.
- Flight Engineer panel .... with various functions.
- Center Pedestall comprising of power quadrant (with throttle/fuel/reverse/flap levers and trim), radio stack, "classic" Auto Pilot, and fully functional/programmable INS system.
- Overhead panel with lighting controls, call buttons, flight deck ground comunication, and other limited functions.
- A full suite of interior flight deck views.
- Incorporated into these panels too are authentic engine startup procedures (similar to those for our DC8 family), and functional multi-speed windshield wiper .... and more
Not bad 707 panels at all .... BY GEORGE !!!!
