Would we ever see classics by erick like the a300-200 and 600, and the dc-10 series adapted by the hjg crew? Regards! Alex

To include these aircraft would be easy to do and we could have them taken from places like flightsim.com and upload them, however thats not what HJG is about and to just put them on our web site without the hours and I mean hours of work on the FDE, the paint the panels the sounds would not be right. We at HJG want to bring the best we can to our supporters and we are looking at other aircraft and seeing what we can do with them. Look at the L1011, we took that further with great panels (check out the new autopilot!) superb sound sets and a vast array of FDE's. All this took the team a long time to put together. So we wont rule them out but things take time

oh absolutely, for me without hjg (erick and everyone as well obviously) the l-1011 just wouldnt be the same. you really exploited the potential of what the vistaliners tristar had all the time.

What Tony replies per his (above) opening comments is actually "RIGHT ON THE MONEY".It's usually quite easy to import, and offer, a simulation of any other aircraft type .... BUT .... to bring such imports up to HJG standard (what the FS community expects of this particular group .... I mean) is "A WHOLE OTHER BALL GAME" in terms of the "time" required to prepare decent FDE, panels/gauges, and supporting soundpacks also .... not to mention just trying to make "time" also in order to attend to all this and around realworld commitments . I'm actually working on about 3 or 4 "new aircraft projects" (not to mention a couple of separate and "fairly complex FDE upgrades" too) at this very moment .... one of which has, so far, taken me (and those whom assist me) more than 2 years in order to develop to it's current status .... and it's still not ready (by "my reckoning" at least) for public release One of these projects "IS" actually flyable right now .... BUT .... I'd rather not release, to our/the HJG community, something that's simply only as good as anything/something else that's been previously released. We've got to try'n do "BETTER THAN THAT".... and we will .... "REST ASSURED" .... and albeit that it does/will take a while in order to be able to do so Mark C AKL/NZ

do you guys assist in payware products, or do you like to soley work on your own hjg stuff?

As far as I know, no one here does any payware work. As far as development of new projects go, I have to give 100% credit to Mark; he carries the ball. A few others of us just provide blocking (to carry the American football metaphor a bit further ); such as George (panels, and also FDE help). It takes a tremendous amount of time... I remember the Maddog development in particular. Look at the MD8x catalog. Each one of those models had to be flight tested, tweaked, flight tested again. It usually starts with low altitude pattern flying making sure T/O and landing are good. Then longer, high altitude flights are done to make sure the low speed/low altitude adjustments don't "bugger up" (I've been working with Mark too long... I'm picking up these strange NZ phrases ) the cruise characteristics. Given MSFS, they usually do, so it's a process of tweaking and compromise. Mike

Oh yes it is!!! :-) In EVERY RESPECT!!! Err...been a bit of awhile since I've visited here--I just WONDER if the Boeing 757-200B Intercontinental might not be one of those "new planes" down the pike...LOL?!? Oh, I know that I won't get an answer, but I'm putting out a "tease," here. Since the B757-200B actually IS now a "Historic Jetliner," now--even though still flying in large numbers. One of the best airliners ever built (along with the 727 & 707, and same fuselage cross-section of each). And Dear God Above, does that ever make me feel OLD!!! :-D To know that the last one was built in 2004, and a small batch built late that year and delievered in 2005 (can't recall to which airline, however). But, the last one rolled off the assembly line a DECADE AGO!!! That sleek, beautiful, "Hotrod of the Skies," beloved by pilots and almost all who maintained/maintain them. And with a "Hot & High" capability completely UNMATCHED by its replacement: the B737-900ER, which has the same basic fuselage (but not the same sleek NOSE), capacity, but not the "Hotrod Characteristic" of the 757 or that "Hot & High Capability!!!" And though large fleets still flying--as with the MD-XXs--gradually being sold off as private jets now. [Not too long ago it was that Donald Trump sold his private 727 to replace it with a 757-200B, and in the same paint scheme...and one can see interior & exterior views of it on YouTube...it's NICE, and of course with a MUCH-longer range than his old 727!!! Just as the current 4 U.S. Air Force 757s (C-32As), built 1998--99, that serve as backup Air Force Ones (for domestic trips, and sometimes are seen as Air Force One ITSELF on shorter trips and when flying into cities with shorter runways, etc.), in the primary Air Force Two mission, and for transporting the Secretaries of State & Defense & for Congressional Delegations overseas...essentially have the same range as the old 707s (VC-137Bs/VC-137Cs) that they replaced, along with the even larger fleet of 737-700CP (C-40B) Boeing Business Jets, though these Next Generation 737-variants won't be "Historic Jetliners" for a very, VERY long time. But the 757-200Bs certainly are, and what beautiful planes they are, whether USAF VIP planes, American Airlines, or those that have been "spun off" by certain carriers to be private VIP jetliners with huge staterooms complete with showers & full-size beds and such (and for much cheaper than Gulfstream 550s/650s) or new-build 737-based Boeing Business Jets. But yes indeed, the HJG ***IS*** "WELL worth the WAIT," and THEN SOME...

I wonder, if one of these new aircraft projects that Mark mentioned could be the very first Airbus A300 from the early 70s. I couldn´t find any "usable" planes with VC on the usual pages, and even if I´m no Airbus friend I would like to fly this one.
