Greetings, everyone
A friend gave me a very gently used CH Yoke controller. My old controller, a Sidewinder Pro, has tons of hours on it and although still functioned fine, felt a bit loose. The CH Yoke feels great and so far I like it very much. Everything appears to work just as advertised.
- BUT -
I now have a question about this fine piece of hardware, as no documentation came with it at all. Does anyone know what I need to do in order to steer while my birds are on the ground, like when I am trying to taxi? Differential brakes? Please tell me this is not the only option. I will revert back to my old controller...
An obvious solution would be pedals but that's not an option at the moment unfortunately. Otherwise this is a great piece of gear. I am running FS9.
I thank everyone for their consideration!

I suspect what you're doing/trying to do at the moment .... in respect of differential brakes (and a maybe little thrust/power differential too .... "IF" you've tried that) in order to aid turning is, probably, about all you're going to be able to do, in order to be able to achieve physically turning with any ease .... in the absence of "PEDALs" I mean. Just bite the bullet (what the hell) .... do yourself a favour .... and invest in an equally good, and equally compaible, set of decent CH (type) pedals Mark C AKL/NZ

Thank you, Mark. I appreciate your reply!
I suppose I shall have a look for some pedals. I wasn't sure if there were some hidden keyboard commands for ground steering purposes, or if I needed to configure the Yoke in some particular way. Oh well, it was a thought!

I guess you had the rudder on your stick so until you get pedals you will have to in the sim select rudder / aileron to work together. That way you can steer by using the yoke when on the ground

Greetings Keyboard command for steering your birds on the ground for FS2004/FSX, use your numberpad board if available... and uncheck/check number lock however your config may be...
5= forward steering 0= left steering enter= right steering
Hope this helps you out.

Keyboard inputs are really not necessary as the CH Yoke wheel can be used just like the steering wheel of a car to make turns.
Differential braking may be possible with key board inputs, but I am not sure???
