Hi Gents,
I need your help please. I'm trying to start the engines and after APU start, when I click APU air (with or without PACK 2 ON) I get no sound of air flow and no fan spin during start attempts. The frustrating thing about my problem is that everything worked fine once, and now I'm ten attempts after reinstalling and can't get the APU air to flow again. Anybody else experience this? I even went so far as to replace gauges to get original cold and dark situation, but no air flow.
Thank you in advance,
Greg

I'll look at this more closely ASAP .... BUT .... if you feel "sound" (audio) is the missing compnent here (in regard to what you're doing) then it may simply be that there's no such gauge sound connection in regard to the APU startup .... as is the case with any number of FS simulations. I'll have a look and report my finding/ooinion back to you later .... when I can .... BUT .... in the meantime .... any perceived discrepency could be as simple as I've indicated above. Mark C AKL/NZ

Well Mark, as usual you were sniffing in the right direction. Perhaps I was confused since I've been learning a few new simulations lately. I think that also created my problem. I was trying to start without ground DC (APU ONLY) like other models I fly. Once I configured using the GPU for external DC and engaged the start, the sound I was referring to as APU air began, along with proper engine start.
I try not to post questions in any forum until I'm at a loss. This one got me good, but now I have it working nicely with the GPU. Now I'll work on APU only.
Long live HJG and thank you Mark,
Greg D.

"NO PROBLEM" Greg .... that's what we're here for. Never think twice about posing any question. There's no such thing as a dumb question .... especially when something's asked as a result of a thirst for knowledge or to clarify one's understanding/curiosity in regard to something. I like to think that whatever questions are posed on these boards/this forum might ultimately aid more folk than whom ever ask a particular question in the first instance. SO THEN .... ones queries or experience/s, in conjunction with our response/s, should, I hope, tend toward better aiding/improving everyones understanding/enjoyment of these simulations.
