Unfortunately while I have managed to get both FS9 and FSX working on my new Windows 10 PC, the DC-9 panel series doesn't seem to work!
Has anyone else got this panel series working under Windows 10 (or Windows 8, for that matter), or might it just be that I missed something when sorting out my installation?

Normally .... the only thing known to guaruntee a CTD using any our DC-9 panel series is if either one of the 2 DLL modules (within the Panel Gauges/Core Files package) are installed in the wrong destination folder/s. The 2 critical DLL's in the case of these panels are the GUAGESOUND.DLL and the FSSOUND.DLL. The GAUGESOUND.DLL goes to the "FLIGHTSIMULATOR 9" folder. And the FSSOUND.DLL goes to the "MODULES" folder with FS9 .... and requires the OLDMODULES related FS9.CFG edit of course. If either of the above are incorrectly placed/installed .... then .... the DC-9 simulations using these panels will CTD whenever they are selected within the MSFS Aircraft Selection Menu. We have seen a few people make this mistake and experience this. Identifying the 2 modules and placing them in the correct/intended fiolder solves their problem every time These same files are good within WINDOWS XP/XP PRO and WINDOWS 7 environments .... BUT .... I can't comment, nor do I recall anyone else commenting either, in regard to WINDOWS 8 and 10 environments. I guess WINDOWS development has got to outgrow these files sooner or later .... and might have already done so. I'm not certain about the compatibility of FS9 in anything beyond WINDOWS 7 either. Best I can advise George Mark C AKL/NZ

Panic over -- you're right that the GaugeSound.dll was in the wrong place! Don't know how I did it though, but once I put GaugeSound.dll in the main FS9 folder the panel worked again!
Thanks,
George

"EASY DONE" George .... and you're not the first to have done that I'm glad to know that the functiomality of these panels continues with WINDOWS 8 and 10 .... for a while I wondred igf they might have exceeded their "USE BY" date Mark C AKL/NZ
