The title bar of this/Tony´s thread
("BAe 146-200 (200QT) / RJ-85 On Finals") is, I think, very appropriate to the following imagery (in more ways than one) and essentially sais it all
So .... from where Tony´s kicked-off .... I´ll now kick-in with a few descriptions of my own concerning this project ....
NEW AND EDITED PANELS ....
BAe 146 Panel .... for use with all/each BAe (only) designated simulation be these´-100, -200, or -300 SERIES aircraft as will be offered by HJG
ARJ panel .... for use with all/each ARJ/RJ (only) designated simulation be these´-75, -85, or -100 SERIES aircraft as will be offered by HJG
Before I get too far into this brief descriptive presentation there´s a number of people whom, I feel, we shouldn´t forget to acknowledge for their indispensible contribution/s to this project .... as this project, like any other, is like a jig-saw puzzle, with various people each holding vital and different piece, which when proprly assembled makes for the bigger/better picture .... "a complete product". These people are ....
- Jon MURCHISON .... as each of the ARJ/Bae models hostd by HJG (including the forthcoming BAe 146-200´s/RJ-85´s .... and hopefully the Bae 146-100/RJ-75 too) are "his own 3D models".
- Mathias LEIBERECHT .... as each of the above ARJ and BAe panel versions are "his own creations".
- Mike MONCE .... who´s the phisician responsible for the FDE improvements that will accompany both these re-releases and "NEW" releases.
- Benoit PLAMONDON ... whom was (as he always continues to be) a great help, to me, when we first compiled the ARJ/BAe soundpack currently hosted by HJG.
To each of the above folk I say ....
"THANK YOU" .... for your dedication and splendid work. Without the collaborative efforts of "each one of these folk" there simply wouldn´t be an ARJ/BAe project for HJG to be able to offer
ABOUT THESE PANELS ....
The BAe 146 panel version .... featuring an early analogue type instrument presentation .... is the same as that currently hosted by HJG, but, with 1, or 2, very minor edits applied.
The ARJ panel version .... featuring a later semi-EFIS type instrument presentation and FADEC engine control system .... is "NEW" to HJG .... though not in regard of Mathias LEIBERECHT´s fine work, since he released this particular panel version a wee while back .... BUT .... what we/HJG have managed to do is identify a number of faults with the original V4.0/4.1/4.2/and PATCH 1 releases for this same panel version and successfully fix these.
Both panel versions will require different operating procedures (and I must also state that these panels, being very systems focussed, are really intended for advanced FS users, but, they´re "NOT" difficult .... at all), but, these details will be explained per my usual Handling Notes descriptions/tutorials .... complemented also by Mathias´s own extensive technical manuals as addiitional reference material per separate compilations for each panel version.
ADDITIONAL PROJECT INFORMATION ....
Several aircraft base packs will be offered .... simulating varying weights for "each aircraft version", so, the simulated performance of most aircraft versions will differ. The FDE which will accompany each of these new and re-released base packs is "NEW" and reflects further, more accurate, advances over that which we currently offer.
The ARJ/RJ-75/BAe 146-100 aircraft version "WILL NOT" feature among these releases/re-releases .... since it´s model has yet to be fine-tuned, but, we´re hopeful (after all these years) that "IT" won´t be too far away.
There will be no changes to the ARJ/BAe soundpack currently offered by HJG .... for the time being at least.
I do need to add .... that the above panels are for FS2004 use only (I can´t vouch for the adaptability of these panels and 3D models to FSX). Sorry folks (FSX users), but, that´s the best we can do at this particular point of time. Without access to original file source code (which "IS NOT" available to us .... unfortunately) there´s not really a lot more we can achieve .... and that´s just being "BRUTALLY HONEST" (rather than dismissive) about everything
HOWEVER .... what´s soon to be released "WILL/SHOULD BE" a more than very enjoyable FS experience for those desiring to run it .... within the FS2004 environment .... make no mistake about that
