Hi, Guys...
I've got a bit of an issue that I'm wondering if you can help me with.
Yesterday, I loaded the Braniff DC-8 Series 62 (N1805 / Beige), along with the Series 62/63 panel and the soundset. The only issue is that neither the panel nor the sounds come up. They work with every other DC-8 62/63 that I have loaded - just not this one.
Thoughts?

First check if inside your sound folder you have the proper sound.cfg file
also check your aircraft.cfg file and check you have: "sound=" if you have anything after the = that airplane is looking for some other sound folder that you have somewhere else or doesn't. exist

Did you also download and install the panel core files?

Highly likely to beth result of simple CFG editing .... in regard to both the panel and the soundpack .... BUT .... need to know how, and where, you've installed both .... including how you've edited the CFG data too.
These files can't just work with 12 simulation only .... and not the other .... unless there's an error in regard to the CFG data for the simulation they're not working with.
Again .... need a description of what you've done.

Hi Braniffops,
We need a couple of details, are you working in FS2004 or FSX? You mention that you don't have the problem with other 62/63, but do you have any of these working repaints in the same aircraft folder in flightsim? Are you getting the exterior of the aircraft showing?
One step at a time and we will get this fixed for you, you have some very skilled people replying here.
Cheers,
Nathan.
Is this the repaint here?

Apparently BRANIFF "beige" is his bird .... He sais N1805, but, if it's the "beige" bird he's talking about then that can only be "N1806". I've already checked the basic texture file and its supporting FLTSIM.XX data is fine .... so .... what he's experiencing must be CFG editing related in regard to his panel and sound installation .... if not an erroneous installation of either. As Nathan sais (and I quite agree) .... best we let him get back to us now .... to tell us "precisely" what he's done (step by step preferrably) so as to try'n avoid guessing games Mark C AKL/NZ

Hey, Guys... Yes, it's the beige bird. (My apologies...it is N1806) For some reason, after stepping away from the computer for a few hours, I noticed the .cfg files for N1805 and N1806 were reversed (don't ask me how in the world that happened...I've only been doing this since FS5.) I went ahead and did a reinstall of the core files for the panel, the soundset, and the updated 5.4 files (and textures) for the Super 62 - basically, I deleted everything and started over, following my checklist to make sure I didn't miss anything. Now, it works. I'm gonna go take an aspirin and go to bed. My head hurts from doing this stuff at 3 in the morning. Thanks for all the advice, guys. I really appreciate it.
