I have installed per "How to install panel" For the DC8-61-62 INS. Under Aircraft I saw fsfsconv, I put the zip file there complete panel.dc8-62_63_INS,inside aircraft HJG_Douglas_DC-8-62_v5, the panel cfg says [fltsim] alias=fsfsconv\panel.DC8-62_63_INS . When starting up FS2004, the DC8 has panel no gauges. I double checked everything, it checks out OK. I don't understand your insert image so I can show you everything. It has URL:http:// when I click on insert image . I would much appreciate all the help you give me. Thanks Kenny

The DC-8-62/63 panel folder (this panel is for use with either DC-8-62 or -63) should be installed inside the FS9 FSFSCOV folder .... then .... the PANEL.CFG file inside the default Panel folder inside the DC-8-62 or -63 base pack needs to aliased to the DC-8-62/63 panel installed inside the FSFSCONV folder.
You've obviously performed the above step correctly because if you hadn't then you wouldn't see evidence of any panel at all .... with or without gauges.
The DC-8 panel gauges are cotained within the "DC-8 PANEL GAUGES CORE FILES" package .... this is a separate download on the DC-8 panels downloads page. This file contains the gauges for all of the DC-8 panels .... and .... also contains the panel sounds for all of the DC-8 panels too.
The content of the Core Files panel gauges folder must be installed inside the FS9 "GAUGES" folder.
The content of the Core Files panel sounds folder must be installed inside the FS9 "SOUND" folder .... not the Sound folder inside your DC-8 base pack.
I'd say you've simply installed the DC-8-62/63 panel .... BUT .... forgotten to download and install the separate "DC-8 PANEL GAUGES CORE FILES" component.
Do this .... and correctly .... and your panel will appear complete and with the splender of all it's gauge content.
PLEASE NOTE: Most HJG panels are supplied in 2 parts .... (1) the actual panel/s .... and (2) the separate panel gauges/core files package. This panel installation procedure has been standard practice for most HJG supplied panels since 2000.

Thank you Mark, for responding to my post here. I took another look into it. I put the unzipped folder panel.DC8-62_63_INS in the fsfsconv per instrustions, I opened the aircraft folder inside panel folder is the panel.cfg opened it up, copied & pasted [fltsim] alias=fsfsconv\panel.DC8-62_63_INS, saved it. Opened FS9, went to Douglas looked for DC-8-61-62, set up at airport, the plane opened up there is the cockpit still no gauges. I am baffled even di it your way. Again if you can please help me out, I would greatly be appreciated. Kenny

If the panel is appearing with your DC-8 simulation (albeit without gauges) then that indicates you have it and its alias correct. The only reason the panel will appear "without" gauges is if these haven't been installed at all .... or ... if they've been installed in the wrong place. PLEASE NOTE AS FOLLOWS .... 1. The DC-8 panel gauges "are not" part of the DC-8 panel file downloads .... they are a 2nd/separate download". 2.The DC-8 GAUGES/CORE FILES package is composed all DC-8 panel gauge/panel sounds data .... it's located as the first downloadable item appearing on the DC-8 panels downloads page (top of the list) and is identified precisely as follows .... Core Files/gauges v1.5 (required for all panels) 3. The DC-8 GAUGES/CORE FILES package contains 2 separate sub folders as follows ..... "DC-8 PANEL GAUGES" "DC-8 PANEL SOUNDS" 4. The entire content of the "DC-8 PANEL GAUGES" sub folder (2X gauge files) must be installed inside your FS9 "GAUGES" folder. 5. The entire content of the "DC-8 PANEL SOUNDS" sub folder (39X WAV files) must be installed inside your FS9 "SOUND" folder .... this's the "SOUND" folder inside the "FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9" folder and not the default Sound folder inside aircraft base pack. Be sure you follow these instructions "to the letter". Again .... you've apparently done everything else correctly .... however .... you obviously not downloaded and installed the supporti gauges/core files (or you've installed them in the wrong place) .... and that's why your panel "IS" displaying, but, "without gauges" For further clarification of this (and much more) please refer to PP1 of my following-linked online/forum base DC-8 manual ....
