I installed recently some 727 liveries, including the Air Algeria 2004 and Aerogal 2008. In the texture-list it is advised to use HK3_NTL_ST model B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-15 base pack. But that model is not in the base pack. Is the best alternative the HK2_NTL-ST in that basepack or try another base pack? I use the base pack HJG Boeing 727-200 adv NTL VHF JT8D-15 v2.0
With kind regards Martien

"NO" .... because the "HK3" model (which is what AIR ALGERIA's B722 7T-VEW flew with) represents the unique RAISBECK version husk-kit featuring the "daisy petal" type engine hot ends/exhaust pipes .... as follows .... Only a few of all the B722 textures we currently offer use this particular model. The "HK2" model represents the more common Stage 2 husk-kit treatment featuring the long/extended type engine hot ends/exhaust pipes .... as follows .... Quite a few of the B722 textures we currently offer use this particular model. I'm not sure what's actually happened there. I'll need to check, and review my own copies of the uploaded files .... BUT .... I can't do this immediately. I'll get back to you with my verdict .... ASAP In the meantime (and despite the fact any of our B722 textures can actually be supported by any of the B722 UI models we offer) the HK3 model should be included in either the NTL/VHF JT8D-9 and -17 base packs (or both), so, you can get it from there .... if it'll get you out of a jam/off the ground without further delay/disruption to your virtual flight schedules Mark C AKL/NZ

Got to the bottom of this now Paul never modified the B722 models to the typical JT8D-15 HK3 configuration .... that's with the engine strake .... but then again .... not all JT8D-15 engines featured the strake anyway. We "DO" (as already stated above) offer a B722 HK3 model though (RAISBECK modification with engines featuring the unique daisey petal hot end/exhaust pipes) and this model "IS" included inside each of our following B727-200 ADV base packs only .... B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-9 B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-17
B727-200F ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-9 B727-200F ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-17The "HK3" model contained in each of the above-mentioned base packs "does not" feature the engine strake though .... but .... that's not an issue at all because despite the fact AIR ALGERIA's 7T-VEW "was" D-15 powered, it was also one of the D-15 powered B722 ADV's that "didn't feature engine strakes. Just copy the "HK3 NTL" and "HK3 VHF" models from the either of the above-mentioned standard B722 ADV (not the B722F ADV version) base packs .... and paste these inside your "B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-15" base pack (do the same if you wish also in regard to the B727-200 ADV TL JT8D-15 base pack too, but, make sure you're including "TL" models only into this other base pack) .... THEN FINALLY .... be sure to edit the MODEL= data line within the ADD TO AIRCRAFT/FLTSIM.XX data for your AIR ALGERIA 7T-VEW texture to read precisely as follows model=model.HK3_NTLAIR ALGERIA's 7T-VEW was an NTL (No Tail Light) B722 ADV configuration. I may edit the currently referenced aircraft base pack reference within the TEXTURE LIST for this particular texture subject (for either the D-9 or D-17 base packs) so this minor issue won't ever be repeated in the future. The base pack FDE stated engine thrust and MGW statements will be "minorly less accurate", but, we have to do that (albeit extremely rarely) .... sometimes Mark C AKL/NZ
