Another from the drag through to P3D v5.2HF1 CLS DC-10-30 in KLM PH-DTD colors, on its way into Arlanda in the day time, then trimming the runway landing lights at dusk. C45

CLS has some great visual models as demonstrated in these great screenshots. I found the panel and the flight dynamics lacking though.

There was a time when that (CLS DC-10) panel was quite highly regarded .... for its sophistication .... BUT .... I tend to think George's renovation/programming of the DC-10 panel/s we use/offer here have left the CLS option well behind .... or so people tell me privately .... although the DC-10 panels we offer won't be adaptable to the CLS simulation. A problem with some panels is they quickly become dated as well as the basic fact that some people like being immersed in sophistication, others like only "a degree of" sophistication, whilst others seek simplicity. HJG's panel philosophy (since 2002) has always tended to result in "a reasonable degree of complexity" .... because that's what by far the majority of people over the years have told us they wanted. Our DC-8 panels, back in 2002, were considered quite complex .... back then .... but they don't really rate on the scale of FS panel complexity today/some 18 years later. The BAe 146 and ARJ, DC-9, DC-10, and Mario's MERCURE 100 panels are "the most complex" panels we currently offer .... but in saying this .... neither are difficult. Understanding and becoming competent with each of these panels is really just a simple matter of "READING" the support notes/manuals, and then, adapting to what's offered. If one does that (wants to do that), then, within a matter of days (and that's really all it takes) most will never look back nor seek another more simplistic option either .... or so I'm repeatedly informed. In the case of "perceived complexity" among the panels offered by HJG the/any sophistication among these is somewhat dampened by the fact nearly all of what we offer loads into FS with all vital systems already activated by default. Complexity is there though for those whom like to shut everything down .... then manually configure everything. In fact this option's available among most of the panels what we offer given our desire has always been to try'n satisfy everyone as easily as possible. Everything needs to be "LEARNED" though .... and that's applicable regardless how complex or simplistic anything is Mark C AKL/NZ
