How do I download HJG AI Aircraft in fsx?

So, I wanted to make my airports (well, at least some of them) look like the '60s-'70s. I went to your group page to check out if there were AI, and sure enough there were. But I don't know how to install them. If anyone can help, please do so. Thanks.

Good afternoon, pleased to see that you are looking at putting some retro flights into FSX-SE.
Unfortunately it’s not as easy as just installing the aircraft, you need to get flight plans for the aircraft.

What I can recommend is going over to the Retro AI proboards page and everything is explained there. retroai.proboards.com/ 

They have links to flightplans and the free software you will need to be able to create retro traffic for FSX-SE. I’ve used them extensively with FS2004 (FS9) which now only has traffic in it from 1983 and looks fantastic.

It’s going to be a massive learning curve for you and well beyond the scope of what I can put here, but very rewarding when you are done. This is the flight planner you need for FSX stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=AIFP 

Look on the flightplan archive of Retro AI and find the airlines you want and the years you want to reproduce. I use Brian’s summer 1983, but “Summer 1998 Project” has some great plans too.

You will need to download the aircraft base packs (Google them to find them) and install the repaints for the airlines you are using, the same way that you install addon aircraft. Make sure they are AI specific base packs and not flyable ones or you will end up in all sorts of strife. You will then need to compile the flightplans into FSX format.

Like I said, it’s a big learning curve and beyond what assistance we offer here, but very rewarding.

Register on the Retro AI forums and you will have access to some amazingly knowledgeable people.

We are more than happy to offer support if the AI DC-8’s we offer aren’t working properly, but questions about installing AI flightplans etc are best asked on the Retro pages.
