Nice DC-9, Tony. I found this picture on airliners.net, which shows a DC-9 with a Caribair-livery, but with 'Südflug'-titles. This isn't a repaint-wish, just to show an interesting combination on a nice and classic jetliner: Interesting combination on a DC-9

Das nennen wir "eine hybride Flugzeuglackierung" Klaus / This is what we call "a hybrid aircraft livery" Klaus STILL .... given the fact Tony's now done this SUDFLUG "basic livery", and if that CARIBAIR hybrid version isn't already done (by Eduardo or on his 2-do list .... I've not checked .... yet) then it could be a good proposition (for us to consider representing given Caribbean aviation and air routes are reasonably popular in FS. Over to Tony though .... again if not already done or being planned ! Mark C AKL/NZ

Thanks. Now I have a question:
Was this DC-9 leased from Caribair to Südflug or was this a not-taken-up bird (but already painted into Caribair colours) from MDD?
When this livery is presented, I would love to know the curriculum vitae of this DC-9. I'm sure you wonderful guys will find some infos about her.

Thanks Mark.
Looks like that DC-9 was tossed between ONA and Caribair quite a bit before Eastern had bought Caribair in the early 70s.

YEAH .... it ended up with EASTERN because they eventually acquired CARIBAIR during 1968. Peter might be able to comment further in regard to this .... "if" there's any particularly interesting about this aircraft in EAL service. He's not only the other HJG admin but also our forum based "EAL historian" .... so .... whatever he doesn't know about EAL, and it's aircraft, simply isn't worth knowing Mark C AKL/NZ
