Hi friends: A very good simulation is the TINMOUSE B 737-200, it is available at AVSIM together with many repaints. Here the AVIACSA morning flight to Cancun. A pity AVIACSA is another defunct airline of Mexico. Kind regards Walter

Hi Walter,
nice shots of the Tinmouse. I'm using the version 1.26 with a modification which gives me the Sperry 177 autopilot (your panel-shot shows the Sperry 77 autopilot). I would love to use the Tinmouse with its original autopilot-controls, but it seems that it mostly doesn't keep the pitch after activating it.
Did you have problems with it or is there a fix for this available?
Klaus

Hi KLaus: Start with Ver.1.30 and add ver.1.31 and ver 1.32 and use the gauges from ver.1.4. All available at AVSIM.com If after engine start erratic engine parameters of engine 1 (left) are indicated select the same airplane again it will come back with the engines running and everthing is as it should. Here a T.O. with the SP 177 AP from MMMX RWY 05 L, full loaded (117.000 pds) at 25 deg C. library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=tinmouse&CatID=root&Sort=Size&ScanMode=0&Page=2My version is FS9 (2004) running on WIN 11, cockpitsounds dont work. Kind regards Walter

Hi Walter,
I will install the Tinmouse from your link and install it into my FS9 (running smoothly on Win 10) again (after deleting the current Tinmouse version of course). But this will be tomorrow (I don't have the time to do this today unfortunately).
I hope I have then a Tinmouse-version where I can use/enjoy the Sperry 77-autopilot (which would be more fitting/acompanying with the HJG/Vistaliners 727s).

After installing version 1.40 of the Tinmouse on my FS9 and flying it, I noticed that she can't keep a pitch angle after activating the autopilot (Sperry 77). Therefor I deleted it and have gone back to the modified version 1.26 which has a Sperry 177 autopilot (here's the filename of the modification, available at avsim.com: tmii_sperry177_v2.zip).

Hi Klaus:
In my installation SP77 does hold the pitch, but before engaging the AP pitch channel the bird should be trimmed for the desired pitch. But I did not fully install ver. 1.4 only the gauge. If one wants to change the pitch while flying on SP77 one has to disengage the pitch channel, trim and engage again. BUT changing the name of the panel can bring control problems or not installing all update ver.1.30, 31, 32 can have the same effect. WIN 10 and WIN 11 can also have negative influences.
Kind regards
Walter

Klaus Hi Klaus: The ver. 1.32 has as default the AP SP177. If one likes the SP77 more one has to use as panel.cfg the one called panel.SP77.basic contained in the folder "Tinmouse FS9 panel configs" renaming it panel.cfg and replacing with it the panel.cfg of the panel "panel.732ADV". In my case all in FS9. The drawback is, you can not use the versions of SP77 and SP177 together by renaming the panel.732ADV as "panel.732ADVSP77" and "panel.732ADVSP177" and selecting the desired one by the aircraft.config. Kind regards Walter

Hi Walter,
I will re-install the Tinmouse version 1.30 (including the updates v1.31 and v1.32) again. I hope that with your advices I can enjoy the Tinmouse with the Sperry 77 autopilot.

I tried to re-install the version 1.32 of the Tinmouse, but I got a failure-screen about the FS2AUDIO.dll-file (I followed the readme-file about its installation). After some unsuccessful tries, I reverted back to the version 1.25 (and its update to 1.26) and it seems that -with the help of your advice about first trimming then acitvating the autopilot- the version 1.26 is working fine. Now I have to fly her more often to get aquainted with her better.
If it works, then I have a nice Boeing family smoking in my FS9 (707-120B/-320B Adv, 727-100/-200/-200 Adv and 737-200 Adv).

Unfortunately due to some strange bug, it doesn’t work with Windows 10. A shame as it’s such a good add-on.

The Tinmouse version 1.25 and its update 1.26 are working on my FS9 with I'm using with the Windows 10 OS. I hope I can enjoy her now much more, using the advices from Walter (trim her correctly first and then activate the Sperry 77 autopilot).

Hi friends: BUT: The HJG DC-9 series offers everything plus an integrated WX and has no shortcomings. So welcome on board: Kind regards Walter P.S.: The AP trim advice is a general one and part of the real handling of an AP in real airplanes. "Hand it over to the AP well-trimmed, then the AP will hand it over to you well trimmed also!"
