linkI’ve had this original a300 for fs9 by Tom Ruth, included in his downloads are all the gmax files, textures etc needed to update/finish the model. I understand Hjg have your have your hands full with new updates for existing aircraft you offer, but could this be something that could be looked at?

There's a number of projects started and still on my other (non-internet connected) Desk Top. I won't publicly announce what they are as has been HJG's standing policy since 2000 .... and the reason for that is simply because it avoids disappointment if, for whatever reason, we find we can't advance something. In order to successfully evolve any project "PROPERLY" (key word) takes a minimum of 6 months to a full year .... or more .... "subject to personal (as well as personnel related) circumstances". REMEMBER .... any project isn't just a model. It's also panel/s, sounds, FDE, and often effects development too .... all of need to be done "properly" too (or it's simply not worth doing at all) but which can be more time consuming than most people could ever even begin imagine Knowing precisely what's on the go here .... "that's all I'm prepared to state publicly". Getting more information out of me than that is about as successful as pushing butter up a Porcupines "place where the sun don't shine" and with a red hot pin .... as many here, and everywhere else too, are only too well aware Mark C AKL/NZ

Yeah for sure mark, it was just something ive been aware of for a while and think would go nicely with the l1011 and dc10 simulations that you guys offer.

Another factor which must also always be born in mind too Alex is .... apart from the developmental side associated various aspects of every new simulation we host here .... "WE" also need (time) to learn each simulation and "TO A VERY COMPETENT STANDARD" (for reasons of technical support .... and which also includes the compilation of supporting manuals and service notes too) "before" we can ever offer/market these publicly. We can't (and won't) just chuck any simulation together, make it publicly downloadable, and then tell everyone to get to it and sort it our for themselves. We need to be able to support "EVERYTHING" we offer. As I hinted above .... I do have at least 3 other projects (possibly a 4th too) on my work bench and in various stages of compilation, but, won't publicly elaborate on what these are .... for reasons already explained What will ultimately dictate whether or not some of these projects might eventually see the light of day though is simply "how long they take to develop versus how much longer public interest might be sustained in both HJG and the FS platforms we represent" .... and that's just "THE REALITY" Mark C AKL/NZ

Yeah that’s a fair comment mark. I appreciate you taking the time to explain and do understand the position it would put you and the rest of the team in

It's not so much a position anything/anyone puts us in Alex .... because we could always say "NO" and "GO'N'GET STUFFED" But rather .... it's a position we "CHOOSE TO" put ourselves with regard to any particular project we take on and which gets to release stage. And the reason we do that is primarily because of the pleasure it gives us .... to please those whom enjoy what we try to do here. Take this simple ingredient out of what HJG "is" and "does" .... and then the whole show would be a complete waste of time. In a way .... I regard it "A COMPLEMENT" when people say have you/we considered representing this, that, or the other thing .... simply because I regard that as being "a vote of confidence" and the fact (some) people obviously like what we try to do here. And thats why I asked. You guys are one of the few groups left, who still develop and prioritise FS2004 over newer platforms and do to such a high standard. The group can accomodate all areas not just model design.
And again, the classic a300 series has a place in history and i think has been pretty under done amongst developers.
