I downloaded and installed the Air Canada 1977 textures for the 727-ADV(JT8D-15 NTL VHF Base Pack). If I use the "VHF_ST" model as indicated in the TEXTURE/BASE PACK/MODEL CONFIGURATION list, the fuselage textures appear blurry. If I change the model designation to NTL_ST I dont get the blurry textures. I'm not sure what's causing this. I did install the "additional textures" as instructed.
Thanks.

Are you using it in FS2004 or FSX ? I presume this's the texture to which you refer .... [ 1977 - C-GAAD - 727-233 ADV Textures by Jeremy Oreskovich Last Updated: 25 May 2011Need you to confirm this. In the meantime and if so: According to our forum based B727-200 ADV texture listings your texture/base pack/model selection is "CORRECT" .... as follows ... Air Canada 1977 = VHF_ST model / B727-200 ADV NTL/VHF JT8D-15 base pack.Doubt the model's imposing any influences (these each well support textures produced "by HJG team painters"), but, this particular AC texture was produced 13 years ago (by a community supplier .... not an HJG painter) and although the preview shows the texture to be fine this particular texture was produced "before" the 2015 base pack/model update. I'll try' look at this for you and report back later today Mark C AKL/NZ

Found the issue .... earlier today but this's been my first opportunity to repot. It's not the 3D model. Nor was it the ADDITIONAL TEXTURES component either. The issue was "purely and basically" TEXTURE file related. When this texture was produced, during 2011, its BMP's were essentially correctly formatted (EXT 32.888) .... BUT .... it seems the artist concerned saved these with MIPS and which can be a known cause of blurry textures. I tested the raw texture myself, in FS2004, and upon transitioning from panel to external FS view saw no issue/s at all "at first" .... but which can be "a trap" .... because when I returned to panel view, then transitioned to external FS view a 2nd time, the fuselage textures on this occasion appeared "BLURRY" .... as per the following image .... The "trap" .... in this situation (using any such MIPS formatted texture) is "blurries" can sometimes appear "intermittently only" .... but not constantly .... and which is why you might have thought the model was at fault. Again its the original texture formatting (with MIPS) that appears to have been the cause. I therefore reformatted this same texture. But this time saved its BMPS in an "EXT 32.888 "NO MIPS" format. Then loaded it into FS2004. Looked it over externally. Took it for a quick spin .... and are satisfied this issue's now resolved as per each of the following post-reformatting images of today .... I'll repackage this particular texture and resupply it, however, such might not be possible until the weekend I'll announce within this thread when the replacement files is available. Mark C AKL/NZ

Mark I can confirm. I converted all of the textures to 32 bit without mips and all is well. Thank you for your investigative work.

Thanks for confirming my conclusion "RPM151".
Should you, or anyone else too, run into this same situation (with other parts of textures or even full textures too), then, what I cited is likely to be the cause of that .... and can/should be easily resolved per the actions I advised.
I was going to send you a replacement texture but obviously don't need to do that now.
Think we offer 1 or 2 other textures by the same community member (each B727's also as I recall), so, the similar (as you discovered) might apply to these too.
