Sadly another classic airframe W/O a couple of days ago 
This time a C-54Q (military DC-4 designation) .... registered N3054V and operated by ALASKA AIR FUEL INC ....

N3054V (C/N # 10547) was built during 1942 .... as a "C-54D" .... and entered USAAF service (42-72442) .... then RAF service (KL877 .... then USN service (91994) and for which it was re-designated as an "R5D-3" and later as a "C-54Q". It entered service with AERO UNION CORPORATION (N62296) during 1974 .... and was re-registered "N76AU" during 1975. It then entered service with AERO FLITE INC (N3054V) during July 2002. Then BROOKS FUEL INC during June 2007. And then ALASKA AIR FUEL during October 2013. It was rebuilt between 2018 and 2020. Its civil registration (N3054V) was cancelled during January 2020 .... but reactivated again (for ongoing ALASKA FUEL INC service) during June 2020. It was W/O shortly after departing Fairbanks, Alaska, USA on April 23rd 2024 and with the loss of its entire complement of 2 POB.
