Airlines .... even the most influential of carriers and which historically paved the way for all others to follow throughout both pre and post WW2 eras .... have come and gone. Some of were re-borne again later and only to disappear yet again. That's the very nature of the airline industry subject to political, commercial, and social influences relevant to each decade or generation. The following is a selection of "short and fact-based" mini-documentaries/presentations relating to a few of the most well known US operators .... some of which prospered prior to the late 1970's deregulation and failed as the result of it .... along with others that came into existence as the result of deregulation but collapsed/failed later ....

All but the last of the above carriers are well represented per textures by HJG artists. In this respect the foundations are laid, by HJG, to be able to relive some of the best of the past through historic route re-enactments within FS .... using what this group offers in terms of both aircraft types and textures .... additionally aided by a little GOOGLE searching in order to determine which operators flew what routes. To this extent imagination abounds within FS .... for the individual/End User to exploit, and hopefully enjoy, should they desire doing so

Certainly a few memories there for those whom do (or used to do) what I did/continue doing. Sometimes what disappears isn't appreciated until long after it's gone/disappeared. Other times it's just nice/interesting to occasionally reflect upon what's past that we saw and/or experienced .... or that we never got to see and experience. The airline industry "in particular" is a fascinating and constantly evolving industry of technological and social development/change and progress.
