...for a day's flying! Braniff 720-027 N7076 touching down at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport after a flight from Houston Hobby with a full load of holiday travelers. This flight was the first time I had used the INS system in the HJG cockpit for this aircraft. It took a minute or two to figure out how to program the waypoints, but once I did it worked great. Also a first for me was a successful glideslope auto-capture. The end result of that was shown above, my first near-perfect landing (I missed my intended mark by about a plane length). Prior to this flight I had been using the kneeboard's flight plan to stay on course and shooting manual approaches. Both work, but nowhere near as smoothly as this flight went. Especially the landings... *sigh* Now if only I'd recorded the darned thing so I could watch it and figure out how I did all of that again
