Hi Ian,
Thanks again. The effects were tricky to configure without causing other problems. This is the main reason why I added it as an optional addon rather than simply intergrate it. The other problem is that if you don't have your Lights set all the way to the highest setting in the Display setup, it probably won't show some or all of these effects. Regarding the smoke effect, I must admit, I didn't think about that. I have the original Tinmouse panel (updated) that was released before the Tinmouse panel and plane packages and it has a gauge already installed to control the smoke automatically. I could upload a "fix" with a generic gauge for this. Does the latest Tinmouse panel not control this effect automatically?
All the best,
Philip.

Philip - thanks for the info about the lights. I like the vortices so I might reserve a couple of aircraft with those for daylight flying and opt for the full set of lights for a nighttime version Meanwhile I'll follow your advice about the settings to see if I can get a compromise. As for the smoke, I've been running a few ground tests on different a/c with v1.1 of the tinmouse panel before realising that the smoke is generated automatically under certain conditions. It seems to appear when the a/c is airborne with the engines running over a certain power setting and there is also a 10 sec or so delay which is what confused me. The 'i' key can be used to generate smoke at other times. Your lovely kittyhawk repaints performed the same as the tinmouse a/c but with the reduced smoke effect. Thanks again for those - I absolutely love the red Metrojet ;D Ian
