Hi HJG, I noticed that on V6 of the B707-320C model there are 2 model files:
model model=323c
What are the differences between the two?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes, but Im asking to the difference between the regular model file and the model=323c under the new Version 6 B707-320C. There are two model files there.
Thanks,
Bill

There are 2 model files provided
1 features a standard model -320C with turbocompressor on the # 4 engine pylon and which is to be used with most of the B707-320C textures.
The other features a model -323C which is exclusively for use with AMERICAN AIRLINES B707-320C (-323C) textures. As Nick points out, this -323C model features different shaped # 4 engine pylon .... without the turbocompressor.
Those are the differences between the 2 models.
Assign and fire up both models .... then study their pylon arrangements and you'll see what I mean.

Oh dear, my 707-320C panel will not be correct for the -323C, as it assumes three turbocompressors!

What changes in the aerodynamic modeling were needed to compensate between the two variants?

Hi again Once again, I'm not very bright when it comes to this sort of thing - I see that in the downloaded files for my 707320C there are two HTML files (boeing707-320c_check.html and boeing707-320c_ref.html) which are self-explanatory, but they don't appear in the relevant sections of the kneepad. Can some brighter person tell me how to put them there please?

Find the lines in aircraft.cfg that say:
kb_checklists= kb_reference=
and replace them with:
kb_checklists=boeing707-320c_check kb_reference=boeing707-320c_ref
If you have multiple repaints, then you'll have to do this for each entry in the aircraft.cfg file.

Jim

This is a friendly board, and the HJG group just want us all to enjoy these fabulous jets and appreciate their place in aviation history.
I am far from the most knowledgeable of the folks here, but I've had such a good experience here (and flying these jets) that I try to give back whenever I actually know the answer to something.
Regards,
Jim
