Nice shots... my favourite plane at my favourite airport! (Actually I'm partial to the -61).
What scenery is that you're using? Is it the payware one?
My machine can't handle the denser sceneries so I use Jim Vile's "Kai Tak 98", which provides the airport, navaids etc. but without much else. At least I can fly the approach without stuttering.
But when I land DC-8s there it isn't pretty! So far I'm only good with smaller planes (like the old HJG Lockheed Jetstar).
Regards,
Jim

Hi Jim. It's the payware FlightSoft scenery. To be honest, it's not very good except for where it counts - on the approach and the Kowloon area. The water textures are dreadful. But like you, I just like flying the approach and the navaids, checkerboard hill and runway are most important to me. The bonus is that the scenery on the final approach is really authentic and looks and feels like KaiTak. I visited Hong Kong many times during my years as a flight attendant with BOAC and BA and was fortunate enough to experience several landings at KaiTak on a flight deck jump seat. And this scenery captures the atmosphere so well that I can almost smell the place.
So I often put a couple of hours aside just flying circuits. Usually in David Maltby's VC10 which is just perfect for it, but sometimes - like today - I make it more of a challenge. Obviously I only posted pics of the most succesful landing ;D
Thanks for your comments about the pics.

very nice shots, i also love that airport, i remember watching a vhs video long long ago, (Harry's airport video?) and i still,to this day, regret i could never fly out there to see it with my own eyes.
the approacht to RW13,together with the Expressway visual at KLGA is my favourite for testing out new equipment. it really is awesome and Jim made a great freeware package so we poor folks could recreate it as well ;d my amd puter went up in smoke, but it could not handle flightsofts Kai Tak ;d
cheers
JP.
