Two classic films of the 70s with the Boeing 707 as "1th Player". Of course, "Airport" of 1970 was the first choice , a film realised after the book of Arthur Hailey with a impressive cast. They were other times and the security of this airport in the latter 60s can be taked today as "incredible inocent". Good scenes by Airport : a Joe Patroni on the cockpit of the Air Mexique 707 blocked in the snow, a Captain Harris diving his 707 after the explossion aboard, Captains Demerest and Harris trying to brake the heavy damaged 707 in the Rwy 30 of Lincoln airport, the aproach in the snow storm of the 707 to Lincoln, etc. Other 707 film , "Skyjacked" of 1972 based on a novel by David Harper, with Charlton Heston as captain of a Los Angeles-bound commercial airliner which is hijacked to Russia by an disturbed Vietnam veteran. Good scenes : the guided ATC aproach and land at Anchorage, the MiGs interception, the land at Moscow ,etc. Happy flights 1-Airport original 1970 2-Airport French Version 3-Airport 2th French Version 4-Airport DVD edition 5-Airport 2th DVD edition 6-Skyjacked original 1972 7-Skyjacked DVD

Gracias amigo por estos recuerdos ;D I actually have copies of that very first "AIRPORT" movie, and "SKYJACKED" too. I do find these movies "un poca mas creible" than the other low budget aviation disaster/thriller rubbish the big film companies have made since that very first "AIRPORT" movie Gracias ! Doesn't Steve McQueen have to dodge a Pan Am 707 or two in Bullitt?

"Doesn't Steve McQueen have to dodge a Pan Am 707 or two in Bullitt?" ---------------------- I thought it was the pilots having to dodge his car as it flew over the hills of San Fran :-D --------------- The 2002 movie "Catch Me If You Can" just has to have some shots of 707's in it www.imdb.com/title/tt0264464/

Although most of you may be too young to remember the movie "Boeing-Boeing" made in the mid 60's had some nice footage showing several 707's and a DC-8 landing at Orly.
