Hi, I just notice that the new KC-135 models (all of them) give me a quick stutter when change views in the cockpit. For example when I look towards the left wing, there would be a pause for the textures to load. Plus on external view too. This does not seem to happen with the 707 series and DC-8s. Even the version 6 707s are very quick on loading textures. Is there a solution to this?
Thanks HJG

I've not really seen this myself on the 135's nor even any of our other aircraft either to any extent which would cause me reason for concern. However, on some computers it's not unusual for there to ocurr a very slight "lag" when calling up/loading panel side views and other sub panels for the very first time. A practice of mine is once any panel is loaded I generally always cycle through each of the panel side views and other sub panels "once only" first (I even cycle the gear lever too) before doing anything with it. This seems to alleviate any potential for "lagging" the very next time I go to select those same particulars side view or sub panels. I've noticed on some computers, though certainly not all, bigger textures can sometimes take a second or so longer to display. It's probably a memory/resourse issue more than anything I should think Mark C AKL/NZ

Bill, I get the same problem when I use the C-135 models as well. It's not just the HJG 135's either. I have a few alphasim models (the SR-71 and C-5) and they both take their sweet time to load textures and when switching panel views (actually it's not that bad I'm just impatient). Mark is absolutely correct though, it is a memory issue due to the complexity of the model and texture detail. Depending on your processor speed and memory availability it's gonna lag a little bit. Your AMD should be able to handle it just fine. I would recommend that you upgrade your memory if at all possible. I'm lagging at 256MB and if your having problems at one gig I'd say expanding to two gigs should do the trick especially since you're running some pretty fancy extras as far as hardware goes. Jay
