Inspired by the recent restoration of the very first jet-powered aircraft to Qantas, I was very happy to find that Tony had made this wonderful texture available for us. I quickly loaded it in FSX: Base, Sound, Effects, Panel, and last but not least the Texture. This is what came out: Enroute EGMC-EIDW - the first leg of the return flight. I must say that it handles extremely well in FSX. All views works perfectly. All panel-functionality works, the sound is great, the repaint is very beautiful, the Autopilot just keep working (I might add the CIVA at a later point). I've mad very few adjustments in the aircraft.cfg file (added an effects-section) and that's about it. No need to modify any textures or anything else. Only one very minor thing: When I let the cursor hover over the Altimeter Calibration Knob, the tool-tip text is somewhat strange to me: And the trim-wav file.... I must admit that I had this one renamed as it constantly roars inside the cockpit I will now commence the entire return flight in FSX. Thank you all for a very nice experience, and I might add, the very first real flight in FSX.
