Hello, my magnificent HJG friends. Today, I experienced my first problem with your glorious 707. This is a Boeing 707-320, and I am using the -320 panel, obviously. I was ferrying this aircraft from Gatwick to Heathrow for flight positioning for my VA, so I did not have a large load of fuel. Here is the aircraft.cfg section for fuel. [fuel] LeftAux = -20, -80, 0, 439.000, 0 // #1 Reserve LeftMain = -25, -100, 0, 2323.000, 0 // #1 Main Center2 = 0, -40, 0, 4069.000, 0 // #2 Main Center1 = 20, 0, -0.1, 10193.000, 0 // Ctr Wing Center3 = 0, 40, 0, 4069.000, 0 // #3 Main RightMain = -25, 100, 0, 2323.000, 0 // #4 Main RightAux = -20, 80, 0, 439.000, 0 // #4 Reserve fuel_type = 2.000000 number_of_tank_selectors=1 electric_pump=0 This picture will illustrate my problem. As I said before, I was flying with a light fuel load. As the fuel level in my left/right main and aux tanks dwindled down, I switched the fuel flow around to continue feeding Engines 1 and 4. As you can see in the picture, I have the valves set exactly the same way, but the green flow lights are not on (yellow boxes) and Engine 1 is getting flow and running (white box), yet Engine 4 is not running, nor does it have flow (red/green boxes). I had to shut down Engine 1 because I'm not so great at 3 engine landings yet. The following images shows my fuel settings upon takeoff. Can anyone explain this? Thanks!

I think there's a lot we're going to have to learn and work through "together" concerning some functions of the new B707/720 panels. I note in this case your fuel loadings in all but the center tank are "very low". Does your recent experience repeat itself with much higher fuel loadings/distribution ? I presume you're using the correct FDE data for your particular aircraft version .... provided inside the new aircraft BASE PACKS. You must use these or things either won't run at all or end up completly out of whack As I said above, we're all still learning these panels ourselves Mark C AKL/NZ

Well, I have noted that the cross feed valves under Engine 3 (the yellow box on the right) tend to have a mind of their own. It seems like I sometimes find them open when I closed them or vice versa. I'm not sure what goes on with them, but there's something up. And yes, my fuel loadings were all very low. I was flying a ferry from Gatwick to Heathrow, 20 minute flight, tops.

And I know that all the tanks are pretty much empty, but I wanted all engines to be drawing from the Center tanks.

It looks like there's a problem with the cross-feed valves in my panel. Engine 4 should be connected to the right inner fuel tank (the only one which isn't empty) but isn't. I'll check it out when I have time.
