Arriving soon! And I can almost hear the gong in the background.. "~~Northwest Orient Airlines~~...The World~~is Going OUR way!!!" ;D Some small editing needed still with this latest 720B. Up front and in the very rear part of the fuselage. That's it! Had a LOT of fun working with this one. A little 6 hour "getting to know the 720 PSD project" ;D I threw together while working on the Uganda Airlines ships. This is one of the most difficult to find schemes to source on this model overall. The older scheme will be done of course and is well photographed, but THIS ONE is a very difficult subject to find photographed. Jetphotos.Net has ONE picture of this livery on this plane. That's it! NW had at least 4 of their 720B's painted in this livery, 725US being one of them. I flew on one of these as a kid and can't forget it. Hope you folks enjoy this one. Rocketing out of Seattle-Tacoma... Enjoy!

Thats very nice!
I really started to like this livery recently and as Ben's 707-300 is offline I would love to fly it on a 720, very nice aeroplane!

Thanks a bunch for the kind words guys! Here's a final preview set of the birdie as we approach NWA's home base of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Had some minor editing of the galley doors on the right side and added a white painted flight deck outline. All that's left is some very small edit of the lightmap files for the fuselage to remove the plugged windows and the smaller windows in the right side galley doors. That's it. She'll be smokin' on over to Mark tomorrow. {BTW..My soon-to-be 8 year old daughter Caroline Marie likes flying this one, she had 'fun' taking it through "the trees and mountains" outside of Seattle tonight while I was tending to my fish tanks. ;D She calls it the "H'ong P'iku Fei'ji"..in Taiwanese. "The Red Butt Airplane" in English. LOL! Kids are great!} ;D Enjoy! John flight deck window detail now in white outline. KMSP in the distance.

John,
That jet looks fantastic.
I can remember the NW 720's from my youth in MKE. They always seemed to be there, every time I was. One of my first airliner "lessons" was how to tell the difference between a NW 720 (or rarely a 707) and a United DC8. Of course those were the days, every airport had a observation deck, and you felt as though you could reach out and touch the airplanes. Quite a place where a jet, 100 feet away would "cook off" those 4 engines in sequence, and it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. I can still remember the smell of jet fuel - thrilling to a young kid (it got me hooked on this aviation thing).
But I digress.
Great job, and looking forward to her.
Best Bill

Hey Guys Thanks again for the kind words, encouragement and of course the memories! This is the final-FINAL previews before sending it to Mark. I made changes to the forward fuselage "crown" area over the cockpit, the Northwest Orient 70's era scheme had a slight curve upwards over that area with white paint. Also toned the paint around the cockpit windows more in line with the cheat-line. Also made changes way up top to the tail antennae, it was painted in red, not bare metal. She's done! ;D Sending it to Mark right after this is posted. Southbound from Seattle to Los Angeles over the vast desert areas east of the Cascade Mountain range in Oregon, south of Mount Hood and not too far from Mount Jefferson. Note the cockpit window edges are painted more close to the fuselage cheat-line and the the red painted "Stinger" antenna up on the tail.
