WELL .... bugger me dead ! I'm really pleased to see you do this one Ben .... because the rare CV880 & CV880-M freighter conversions are a void in our CNVAIR line that really needed filling. You've started this theme superbly by doing this first release. SUGGESTION: PROFIT EXPRESS operated 2 extremly CV880 freighters .... often referred to withing the industry as "ASIRLIFTER" aircraft. 1 was a standard CV880-22, whilst the other was a modified CV880-22M. Both appeared in the same 2 tone green livery . However there were differences between both aircraft liveries too. CV880-22M N54CP (1982) .... the aircraft you've represented .... featured a white upper fuselage/crownskin with 2 tone green stripping, and green engines .... as per the following image www.airliners.net/open.file/0322611/L/CV880-22 N817AJ (1981) featured a natural metal fuselage and lower rudder section with the companies standard 2 tone green stripping, and natural metal engines too .... as per the following aircraft. auctiontransportation.com/html/ATRIMAGEBANK/AT9862jp.jpgI'm thinking this other natural metal version would look fantastic if you were to take it on and give it your fotoreal metal treatment As I mentioned above, there were only ever a handful of such CV880 freighter conversions. Some of these supported great and extremly rare liveries .... mostly from Latin American regions. There has in the past (and even on the old HJG forum too) been repeated demand for these aircraft to be represented. This is a great start .... and I hope this theme (covering these other aircraft) will continue. "EXCELLENT WORK" Ben .... and a "SUPERB CHOICE" too ! I might post images of some of the other very rare CV880 freighter subjects later. Mark

I'd love to Ben .... I really would .... but .... that's gotta be Dee's own decision .... of course ! We do already host a couple of very rare DC8-20F freighters without working cargo doors .... and based on our standard DC8-20 model. Whilst it would be nice to have CV880-22 & -22M models with working freight doors, I feel the absence of this detail isn't any major problem .... not so far as I'm concerned at least anyway. I'm just darned pleased to see the CV880 line extended to include this livery .... and hopefully in the future those other very few major examples which existed too. Mark C AKL/NZ

OK .... I'll add the remaining PAX versions to the "RESERVED REPAINTS" supported with all the photo references for each that I can find. I might take me a few days to organise this though. I've got so much else on the go HJG-wise at the moment .... so please bear with me The priority at the moment (in my oppinion) would be the freighters anyway. Thanks ! Mark C AKL/NZ

A bottle of a very rare single malt whiskey just might get you that 880 cargo door installed. Dee

Dee .... "IF" you're prepared to do that for us (working frieight door models of both CV880-22 & CV880-22M with pallets too and for FS2004) then Ben will buy you all the exotic duty free brands of Wiskey from around the world that he can possibly lay his hands upon.
Ben .... have a chat with Dee per PM .... or .... privately on our Staff Forum.
Cheers !

Very nice paint Ben... WOW, I don't think the reg number(actual, not the repaint) isn't big enough... I think it is as big or bigger than the Airline title... Love the cargo haulers, and a plus when a rare one. I'm not to much of a fan of the "Self-Loading" Cargo planes.

YEP .... the rego on this one sure is "BIG" .... but .... that's precisely how it appeared on this aircraft during her PROFIT EXPRESS, and later CENTRAL AMERICAN AIRWAYS service.
