When having the cockpit completely dark and cold, I still hear "background"-sound of the gauges. Is this intended and correct ? ...... or is there a way to have the cockpit cold and dark and quiet?
Thanks for Your help!

Hi Ernestus,
I think the sound you are talking about is the Avionic Fan sound. The soundfile is called avionics1.wav and avionics2.wav (when you are using Mark's sounds) in the sound folder of your aircraft. Could you please check this?
Best Regards Matthias

What is the proper steps to take to get things to be cold & dark? This is not happening to me when the aircraft is loaded?

Hi Matthias,
You are right, that are the 2 soundfiles (avonics1.wav and avionics2.wav) of the sounds of Mark Cranston, I'm still hearing when the cockpit ist completely cold and dark.

What is the proper steps to take to get things to be cold & dark? This is not happening to me when the aircraft is loaded? At the end of a flight before leaving the flightsim switch off everything in the cockpit of the BAe146 and check, if ground-power-supply is disconnected, then at the next start of the flight sim with the BAe146 You will find the aircraft with a cold and dark cockpit. Hello Ernestus,
The sounds were not controlled directly from the panel. When those sound could be switched on and off from another panel, I just could imagine that those sounds were switched from the standard electrical bus of the Flightsimulator. Except the Avionic bus for the GPS, the standard electrical bus of the FS is disconnected in my panel. Maybe this is the reason why the sound did not stop even when you switch everything off in my panel.
A solution could be to reduce the volume of those sounds in the sound.cfg. Nevertheless I recommend to wait what Mark knows here, because he the specialist of the aircraft sounds. Maybe he has a better solution.
Best Regards Matthias

Good Morning Matthias,
as far as I found it out, it's a question of the sound.cfg because the avionic.wavs are assigned to the lowest level of the [JET_Whine]-entries: But I'm not able to interpret the sound.cfg by myself completely and correctly or even to do a workaround.
Thanks for Your help!

"ERNESTUS" .... that sound you're talking about is avionics whine and not engine whine.
It is intended to simulate what would under normal circumstances be heard whenever the aircraft was shutdown but still connected to a ground or other energy source .... like would be expected during aircraft turnarounds.
So far as the soundpack is concerned this particular audio is "INTENTIONAL"

Hallo Mark,
thanks for Your answer. It's completely clear, that this is "avionics whine" and it's audible when some power-supply is active. The remaining, really small and insignificant question is, if there is a way to switch off this avionics whine when there is no energy source active? And as I understand now, this seems only to be possible by deactivating this sound in the sound.cfg and controlling it by a gauge?
Thanks for Your efforts!

That's correct !
It must also be remembered that this currnt soundpack is a "PRELIMINARY VERSION ONLY" .... which was made by myself & Benoit just over 1 year ago and before these current BAe model and panel version became available.
Myself & Benoit are comtemplating a newer/better BAe/ARJ soundpack for the future .... but .... no release date yet.

Hi Mark, Hi Matthias,
Thanks for Your efforts and especially thanks for the aircraft, the panel and the sounds. And as mentioned, the discussed problem is a minor and insignificant one.
