I small public query to try to see how widespread the problem really is. Please note that this query only relates to our B707 and B720's (all models) If you cast your vote in one of the 3 "yes" boxes, then please write a small description of you experience, including: - Which model/texture/panel/sound you are using
- Which version of FSX you are using (RTM, SP1 or SP2)
- Your operation system (XP, VISTA, other)
- Any other info you might think valuable, type of graphic card, amount of RAM etc. etc.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Folks .... we really need your co-operation here .... which is what this particular thread is all about. Some folks report crashes with our B707/720/C135 panels/gauges .... whilst others are experiencing no problems whatsoever. What we're trying to establish here is whether or not there's any common denominator in cases of those whom "ARE" experiencing problems. Again .... "IF" you're experiencing a problem with our B707/720/C135 panels/gauges then we ask you please post here .... stating which aircraft/panels you're using, providing a brief description of the problem, along with your system specifications. Also .... "IF" your're experiencing no problems whatsoever with our B707/720/C135 panels/gauges then we ask you post accordingly .... stating which aircraft/panels you're using, along with your system specifications .... and further stating "NO PROBLEMS"We ask that replies be restricted to just the above requested information only .... in precisely the same manner as "CARL246" has already presented his case above. There are many potential variables which might apply in cases of those experience problems. It's important to appreciate that experiences may not be universal .... but .... to at least "TRY" to establish what may be happening, or even "IF" there's any issue to be resolved at all, we're totally dependant upon your feedback. Thanks ! Mark C AKL/NZ

OK, after voting "No" above, I downloaded the E-6 and repaint, and now FSX crashes! E-6B v6 base pack 164405 repaint E3-D "CFM engines" No sound pack FSX SP1 Vista Home Premium 32-bit 1280x800x32 1.73Ghz Dual Core 1GB RAM 224MB Shard Graphics And, now, even with the file removed, FSX still crashes!

Folks .... just one other thing we need to mention here that might or might not apply .... but .... which has to be clarified.
We are aware there's a small number of packages available on the NET which contain modified data for HJG products.
PLEASE NOTE: This "other" data is not endorsed by our group. Therefore we cannot support any data obtained from these other sources. We can only "TRY" to support our own data obtainable exclusively from "HERE" .... at the HJG website.
Again .... this may or may not apply to some of the few folk whom are experiencing problems, but, we need do need to clarify this basic support rule/condition.
Once again we invite folk who feel they have a problem to post here accordingly .... but please .... do so only along the lines of what's recommended above.
Thanks !

B720 model crashes to desktop. Using Alaska texture, B720 panel, aeromusica B720 sound.
Operating system is XP FSX sp2
I should add that it works fine if I start off with another type of aircraft before switching to the B720.

Could those who are experiencing crashes try removing FSUIPC?
(I'm just wondering if the weather radar has something to do with it...)

Or try a back-up of their FSX.cfg and let FSX built you a new one (remember re-insert any handmade edits, as they will be lost)

I've added this back-up and rebuilding of the FSX (or FS9) suggestion to each of our AIRCRAFT PANEL INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES .... see ABOUT HJG AIRCRAFT forum page.
We know for a fact these rare CTD experiences have been eliminated for a number of folk whom have implimented this procedure.
