I'm trying edit some gauges using FS Panel Studio and I imediately ran across a problem. I know HJG has some very talented panel-wizards, so this post is meant for you guys. I'm very new to this kind of thing, so nothing big, just a simple edit of the default Lear45 PFD in FS2004. What I want to do is edit the 1508 and 1548 bitmaps, because I feel that the maroon background colour is not very well chosen. However, I cannot find these files anywhere in my FS folder. Question 1: Are they fixed into the lear_45.pfd.gau? Question 2: When editing the bitmap, my photo editor wants to save it to a location. Will this work, or do I need a special tool to incorperate them into the lear_45.pfd.gau? Regards, Nils

All GAU-file gauges store their bitmaps internally - you can extract and insert bitmaps using a freeware tool called GAUBMP. (Don't change resolution or colour-depth though!)
I don't know anything about FS Panel Studio.
