I am trying to fly the DC-8-50/70 with the HJG Panels. About 10 seconds after wheels up the electrical system fails. I have the failures set to 0, yet it still happens. However it only happens with these panels in use.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the complexity of the DC-8 panels, but do you have your Essential Power draw set to the engine generators? If you have it on Battery, Ground Power, or APU, and the battery dies, you disconnect from ground power, or shut down the APU, you lose power.

There is no APU on the DC-8. The only forms of power you have are - Battery, Generator, and External Power Cart/GPU.

I can only guess, but it sounds like after getting the engines started and disconnecting from the ground cart, you are failing (or I should say "missing") a step on the checklist. Like switching over to Generator. So, please read the procedure outlined in the included PDF file that came with the panel. Pay attention to small details. Dee
