I caught the beginning of this movie last night on TV, there was some great historic planespotting at the start of it!
It was set in Paris, and showed some great takeoff, landing and taxiing shots of: Air France B707-320 and 320B Air Canada DC-8-40 Lufthansa 727-100 Air India B707-420 (I think, don't know if they had any -320s) Pan Am 707-320B (or maybe a C, not sure) Air France Caravelle (showed a flight crew coming down the back stairs) British United BAC-111 British United Vickers VC-10
It was quite a treat! I didn't end up watching much of the movie, but sure enjoyed catching the footage of these historic jets!
Regards,
Jim

"IF" that's the movie where the TGA B707 missed the speedway/RWY exit and got stuck in snow drifts .... starring old Dean MARTIN, and Jaqueline BISSETT .... then you missed the WESTERN B737-200 taxiing by in the background. FYI .... HJG CEO Tony MADGE did a beautiful repaint of this particular TGA B707-320C subject. Those whom want it should search FLIGHTSIM.COM for the following file name .... 707t_hjg.zipMark C AKL/NZ

...no, that would be the 1970 movie 'Airport' that you're describing.
"Boeing Boeing" stars Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis. Curtis is a journalist in Paris who is juggling three flight attendants in his life. Each is his "fiancee", and their schedules are such that they are never home at the same time. One works for Air France, one for Lufthansa, and one for British United.
When each flight attendant ends up being assigned to newer and faster jets, their schedules all get shorter and are destined to overlap. Throw Jerry Lewis into the mix as a visiting business colleague who gets wise to the scam, and comedy ensues.
I didn't watch much past the first half hour, but most of the planespotting happens in the first 5 minutes. But the story looked a little too predictable to me, so I didn't stick around to watch.

Jim

AH YES .... I remember that movie now ! God .... that was years ago I saw it too, but, I remember in particular the BUA VC10 .... and a line in the movie referring to it's coming into service earlier than originally planned. I guess one couldn't get away with calling a movie "BOEING - BOEING" now. The corporation would be be into you "like robbers dogs" for royalties just to use the name The same way as Boeing started getting stuck into the plastic kit manufacturers (like AIRFIX, REVELL, HELLER, and HASEGAWA) during the early 1980's .... for royalties and "VENDORS CONTRACTS" Conversely .... Airbus actually paid AIRFIX, REVELL, HELLER, and HASEGAWA to tool-up and produce plastic kits of their aircraft. Mark C AKL/NZ
