[edit] Okay, I'm a doofus, I just found the same issue two pages back on the forum. Oops... However, I did find one thing someone might want to look at. After copying the core files into my root FS2004 directory I found TWO sound folders, one marked "Sound" (the default FS2004 directory) and one named "sounds" - which had all the DC8 sounds in it. If these are supposed to be in the root sound folder you might want to check on the naming convention for the folder in the zip file. Now, back to pulling what few hairs I have left! [/edit] I've dowloaded and installed the Douglas DC-8-30 base pack, Braniff textures (gotta love those bright paint jobs), and the effects, sounds and panels files appropriate to the aircraft. However nothing I can do makes the correct panel show. I followed the instructions in the readme files for both the core effects and the specific DC-8-10 panel (with side views), but every time I load the aircraft I get the default Cessna panel. Obviously there's something I'm overlooking, but I haven't a clue what it is. Any suggestions? PS - I've succesfully downloaded and installed the same packages for your 707 and Convair 880 aircraft, but this one has me stumped.
