Was wondering if anyone out there might advise me of a good program available to clean the gauge file of unused gauges. Mine is getting enormous. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

The only file I can think of that was designed to perform such a task was a utility named "GAUGEWIPE" .... but .... that was ages ago .... like FS200/2002 vintage. That file wasn't "FOOL PROOF" though either I did hear reports about some folk whom lost a good number of legitimate gauges through relying on this and other such programs "GAUGE WIPE" is bound to have been superseded by something more superior by now .... for sure ! I'm buggered if I know where you'd find it .... but .... someone around here's sure to know Beyond all this .... having a very large "GAUGES" folder shouldn't be any major problem .... so far as I'm aware ! Thanks for the info, Mark. If it should not be a problem, I won't worry about it.

Probably your wisest choice "RAMROD".
As I mentioned above, some programs used to eradicate redundant gauges are by no means foolproof and have been known to result in a bit of aggrivation for some folk when valid gauges end up being removed/destroyed .... from what I've heard !
"GAUGES" files by their very nature do get quite large .... in conjunction with the number of add-on aircraft/panels one installs over time .... but .... that shouldn't ever become a problem.
One thing I've always done when installing any new version of FS is to make a back up copy of the deafault "GAUGES" folder .... meaning I can dump the FS "GAUGES" folder at any stage .... then resurrect the default version and start all over again provided that I've also retained copies of my most preferred add-on aircraft/panels.
Probably the best/safest way to go about revising things if size and redundant data is ever of concern to you.
